The Space Cossacks, Frankie and The Poolboys, and The Secret Samurai, oh my!

Image To help prepare for the weekend's onslaught of surf fueled mayhem, we're happy to announce this year's SurfGuitar101 Convention San Diego Pre-party!  The show will be held at The Soda Bar in the North Park area of San Diego.

This year is really special as we're lucky to have one of the greatest instro surf bands of all time, The Space Cossacks!! If that weren't enough, also on the bill is the surf super group, Frankie & The Poolboys consisting of Ferenc Dobronyi from Pollo Del Mar, Danny Snyder from The TomorrowMen/Meshugga Beach Party, Karen Dobronyi from Meshugga Beach Party, Naotaka Seki from The Surf Coasters, and Tony Bald from The TomorrowMen. Rounding out the lineup will be San Diego's, The Secret Samurai who will start things off at 10pm.

This show should get you more than adequate reverb poisoning. We hope to see as many sg101ers as possible to help kick off the weekend!  Check out the forum thread on this show for updates and for show reports. Check out the Facebook Event Page for the show as well!

New Location for SurferJoe Festival

IMPORTANT NOTICE: the festival's location has changed.

We are still in LIVORNO, of course, and the new event area is fantastic! We are just 5 min. from the sea, but not right on the coast anymore. We are sorry about this, but we had to do this. But - hey - we can tell you this is much more fun! All the rest is the same, lots of people coming from everywhere.

New location for the weekend: OTTO E MEZZO STUDIOS

Updates on www.surferjoemusic.com will be available over the weekend. Again guys: Livorno is NOT L.A. It's 20 min. to go around it. The actual distance from the old and new location is 5 min. Internal transportation, buses and eventually shuttle buses will be available.

Write me for any help: info@surferjoemusic.com
