- Surf Music
Help us meet our monthly goal:
Texas surf rock tips its hat to the man who wore the crown - Dick Dale, the King of the Surf Guitar. Hosted by Indian Roller boutique roadhouse, five Texas rock combos will perform Dale-inspired set lists that include covers of the King’s greatest hits. It’ll be a thunderous tribute to the man, the myth, and the legend of Dick Dale.
Dale-tastic sets by: the Hungry Onions, the Nematoads, Los Superavengers, the Boss Jaguars!, and the Baffles. Stay til the end for a special All-Star Dick Dale Jam!
Indian Roller will be debuting a new Tiki Cocktail menu and Deep Eddy Records, Bat-Tone Records and Surf Austin will be on hand holding Dick Dale-themed raffles throughout the night.
Proceeds for the event go to benefit CareBOX Program. CareBOX is a nonprofit organization with the mission of providing free, much-needed care supplies to cancer patients. CareBOX hand assembles and delivers these supplies to patients, reducing barriers to access and helping to prevent malnutrition, infections and injuries and reduce cancer-related deaths.
Our event this years marks THE VENTURES 60TH ANNIVERSARY, though our regular jammers plan to get a DICK DALE TRIBUTE into the mix.
The cover charge for the (12) hour gathering remains at $60 & includes breakfast, lunch & dinner. Memorabilia tables will be set up & merchandise available for sale. Lastly, there's a chance you'll be able to rub elbows with one or more band members!

2019 started with the announce one of the most ambitious Brazilian surf music releases. Reverb Brasil Records and Orleone Records join forces to release Brazilian Tsunami, a three CD box set with 63 Brazilian surf bands.
Brazilian surf scene was always known for its activity and creativity, with a lot of bands from all over the country and different interpretations of the style, with influences that go from Brazilian music to metal, punk, latin and new wave, but never missing the main point of surf music: fun music to dance to.
The digital release took place during January. The box set was released in early February and release parties took place in a lot of cities around the country.
Now we are proud to announce the first edition of Brazilian Tsunami Festival, in São Paulo. 16 of the bands appearing on the compilation share the stage at Cervejaria Tarantino in two days of Brazilian surf music celebration. We will also have an album artwork exhibit by Henrique San, the man behind the box set artwork, vintage instruments exhibit, food trucks, record vendors, brewery tours and a lot more.
