Puerto Rican surf rock band "Flashbacks" rocked two days ago on a local Cancer Fundraiser show where they performed three songs. The Band performed Santana's classic "Oye Como Va" followed by Ben E. King's "Stand By Me" and a Medley of "Wipeout" and "Batman" Orignal Theme Song. The band will perform next Thursday on a School motivational activity followed by a local Talent Show and a Tribute Concert. Here's the video of the Wipeout/Batman Medley.

Apologies to anyone planning to see Los Kiosk Bears play at The Bell pub in Great Paxton, Cambridge (UK) on the 26th April 2013. Due to Greene King changing the live music rules for this venue, we can no longer play there. Let's just hope they didn't change them just to keep us out!
All the best,
Paul
The latest release from Australia’s favourite surf guitarist and member of the legendary Atlantics – Martin Cilia.
Inspired by a 2012 trip to Hawaii and California (the Hawaiians call it “Kaleponi”) and a chance meeting with surf guitar god Dick Dale, “Going To Kaleponi” has Martin and his classic guitar collection in full flight.
You’ll hear the sounds of cool breezes in palm trees, rolling ocean surf, skateboards on Santa Monica boulevard and many more.
Available now on iTunes and through www.martincilia.com. Listen to some of the tracks here: www.martincilia.com.
This Saturday, April 6 from 2-4PM (Pacific) will mark the debut of a new weekly 2 hour Surf Music radio show on Luxuriamusic.com called FIBERGLASS JUNGLE.
Luxuria is an extremely well known and fanatically followed internet station that presents 24 hours of unusual, specialized programming geared to those with more retro sensibilities. The station features a number of fantastic shows hosted by some pretty heavy hitters covering a wide range of genres and styles--Garage, Psychedelic, Jazz, Easy Listening, Exotica, Lounge, Space Age Pop, Bachelor Pad, Incredibly Strange and Outsider Music, and much more!
Fiberglass Jungle will present the very best in recordings that fall under the wide instrumental Surf Music umbrella. This base encompasses the “pre-surf” instrumental Rock n’ Roll tunes of the late 50s, the classic “First Wave” originators of the early 60s, the “Second Wave” bands of the late 70s and early 80s, the crossover, genre-blending “Third Wave” bands of the 90s, the cutting-edge, description-defiant melting pot of current-day innovators, as well as a healthy dose of Spaghetti Western, international styles such as Japanese Eleki and Finnish Rautalanka, Surf-Guitar-based Exotica, Easy Listening, and Spy/Crime Jazz.
There will be a proper web presence coming soon, which will likely include a blog where each week's playlist and band/song/album information will be posted regularly.
