The Good The Bad honour Tarantino's 50th Birthday

In honour of the glorious basterd Quentin Tarantino on his 50th birthday and on reflection of his extensive groundbreaking work to date, The Good the Bad made a parody of the opening scene of Inglorious Basterds, inserting Tarantino film references as Christoph Waltz presides over his 50th birthday celebrations. Consider it a ligh-hearted gift to Quentin on his special day.

Also as a special experiment TGTB looked at rescoring some less obvious scenes from Kill Bill, Django Unchained and Death Proof with some TGTB music, as a tribute to Tarantino and his inspiration. You too can enjoy our tracks set to QT's films and even download the three songs for free at our website. Enjoy!

The Good The Bad kick out the jams with Wayne Kramer at SXSW

Instrumental Danish psych-surf trio The Good The Bad jetted into Austin, Texas to play eight showcases in and around SXSW in March, and played a very special show in collaboration with Wayne Kramer, legendary guitarist of the MC5.

On their last USA tour in 2010, The Good The Bad embellished their affiliation with the Jail Guitar Doors charity (having previously appeared on the soundtrack of the charity’s ‘Breaking Rocks’ documentary), as the band played alongside Billy Bragg, Chris Shiflett
(Foo Fighters) and Wayne Kramer (MC5) at the Strummerville/Jail Guitar Doors showcase.

Upon seeing them for first time, Wayne Kramer described The Good The Bad as “an incredible new band” and this time around, both joined forces and locked axes together at Roky Erickson’s Ice Cream Social 10th Anniversary show at Threadgills, Friday 16th March to play 'Kick Out The Jams'.

Later that evening, Wayne Kramer led the charge at the Jail Guitar Doors official showcase at the Swan Dive with Tom Morello and other special guests. Jail Guitar Doors is a non-profit program that provides musical instruments and opportunities to help rehabilitate prisoners.

“Jail Guitar Doors is the loudest charity on earth.”  Wayne Kramer

The Good The Bad to release '023' video and single

Danish surf rock trio The Good The Bad release their new single '023' in February, accompanied by a new film directed by Jeppe Kostrup, who infamously created the previous TGTB video hit '030'. A video teaser of the new '023' video is now online on the bands youtube channel.

'023' sees TGTB delve into harder surf riffs than ever before, coupled with their customary short and sharp twists and accompanied by lions and war cries as backing vocals. The full '023' video will be launched on January 4th, with the full single unveiled on Febrary 13th.

'030' is now on the brink of 3 million views and is viewable here.
