i felt brain dead this AM working on the bass line where the 'guitar solo' is around measure 60. i walked away from it and will be back at it later. the rest of it is pretty straight forward.

The Wedge and Wipeout bass lines. Anybody worked them out? having problems getting a good copy to hear.

Awesome. Thanks. I've mostly got them, but that'll help clear up a couple of parts I wasn't sure about.

Working on a few Ventures Christmas tunes for our upcoming Holiday show. For some reason, "Frosty The Snowman" is giving me fits trying to get the rhythm part down.

Rosarito 3 Day. I cant believe it, its actually coming. I allways thought Slacktone were impossible!!
OK, I dont have Daves magical touch and nuances but im getting a good handle on it.

Apache bass....which the more I play, the more I really don't care for. (Sorry Ivan!!!)

Sleepwalk bass......which the more I play, the more I like it.

Starting work on bass for University Blvd and Calhoun Surf sometime in the next week or so.

my band is working on a cover of the theme from french movie "la folie des grandeurs" that sounds quite surfish western spaghetti.

La folie des grandeurs

So, I'm working to adapt some parts to guitar...

Just finished working and practicing on The Spotnicks...Johnny Guitar. Also found online backing track to it. http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/play/spotnicks,_the/johnny_guitar.htm
fun song to learn. I had to slow down the middle part 50% to figure out the arpeggio's!!!

I'm working on Ghost Riders in the Sky. Studying Dick Dales' Version. It has some odd changes in the time signature.

Two songs right now and I am doing it the hard way...

Learning to sight read sheet music to Drag City and King of the Surf Guitar!

I bought an Surf Music book off Ebay and I thought it had Tab in it...
Turns out its OLD... before tab.
That's right just chords and notation, maybe I'll buy a bass and learn that, the book has bass clef notation in it too.
