My cousin just told me about the Newport (OR) Cafe up the coast that serves a huge hamburger. I'm more a veggie burger guy (or trying to be), but I have to check this one out! "Super Ultimate Monster Burger, 6 lb. Burger Topped with grilled onions, Ham, Fried egg Topped off with Cheddar cheese on a 10 inch homemade bun." It even comes complete with its own local amateur-type commercial: |

Not a burger, but this photo makes my knees weak right now. Some of you out of towners might want to hit Joe Jost's in Long Beach while you're here for the convention. —Radio Free Bakersfield--60 Minutes of TWANG, CRUNCH, OOMPH. |

Good Grief! How is it y'all have kept that place under wraps all this time. If / when I get back out there, I definitely gotta check out Joe Jost's. Thanks for the tip! —Fady El Mirage @ ReverbNation |

Just grilled a couple burgers for the first time ever, and have discovered a new world out there lol. Had no cheese or anything special lying around, but I seasoned it with hot Asian spices, chopped up some onions, and squeezed out what little BBQ sauce I had, turned out pretty good, nice and crispy. I want to get a weber grill though, the propane is easy but I miss the classic flavor of charcoal. |

This isn't directly about burgers but it may help you grill be best burgers you've ever grilled. As you may remember, I received an Infrared grill from my wife as a gift last year to replace my ancient Weber. I finally got around to grilling chicken. Well, I'm somewhat allergic to chicken. Laugh all you want; I do. So I don't usually grill it. This grill makes a mockery of every grill I ever used. After 40 minutes on medium, turning every 10 minutes, the skin was golden brown and crispy, and blackened just right. The juice was sizzling clear and the white meat was very moist and ready to pull off the bone. But the dark meat was so juicy it squirted. I've never eaten such perfect chicken. Burgers are every bit as good. The slight learning curve is more than worth it. Mmmm.... best grill I've ever had. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.
