Speaking of Vegas this dive bar favorite of mine has a pretty tasty half-pound char-broiled burger (with fries) special for only $3.95.
The funky 1970's decor (brown shag carpeting, spinning water wheel) completes the experience.

Tried Habit Burger today. Tasty. Just a t-a-d pricey. Ordered the double bacon cheeseburger combo ($9.40 including tax, fries & drink) because it seems most places in SoCal that offer a double patty do so for a reason--the patties are half the size of a normal burger. Not so here. I'm stuffed.

So last weekend I went to Fronks in Bellflower. Its a bit of a drive but its just so damn tasty. Anyways, they have some new burgers on the menu.
The burger I got was a 1/2 pound angus patty seared into cayenne pepper, topped with pulled pork (MEAT TOPPED WITH MEAT, BABY!) with a Habanero relish (SPICY!!!) and some cheese. The burger also comes with a fried egg on it, but I asked them to keep it off. Comes with a side of seasoned fries (but their other sides are awesome too).
Of course we had pulled pork nachos for an appetizer and a chocolate & peanut butter brownie topped with ice cream and whipped cream for desert.
Needless to say, I wasn't hungry for about 20 hours. But damn it was good.
Worth the drive. GO TO FRONKS!!!

Burger topped with pulled pork, two of my favorite things that I never thought of putting together, until now! Wedged in between toasted Kaiser rolls, and topped with some spicy pickles, pepper jack cheese and Jack Daniels bbq sauce, oh yeah.... Now off to build my concotion!

I can never do McDonald's ever again, unless I'm dying for water or something. But I did have a Freddy's steakburger for lunch with shoestring fries, was pretty delish. The burger has a thin around the edges, crispy, almost hashbrown texture, not a typical fast food patty. I'd say the overall flavor was like In N Out but didn't have as strong a smell (if you know what I mean about in n out, the smell that stays in the car for a week lol).

Heart Attack Grill "unofficial" spokesman dies of apparent heart attack
A regular patron and unofficial spokesman for the Heart Attack Grill has died of an apparent heart attack, the restaurant's owner said on Monday.
John Alleman reportedly suffered a heart attack last week outside the Las Vegas restaurant, according to the Las Vegas Sun. The 52-year-old was taken off life support on Monday.
Alleman, who was not on the restaurant's payroll, inspired the "Patient John" character that appears on the restaurant's menu.
"He lived a very full life," Jon Basso, owner of the Heart Attack Grill, told the newspaper. "He will be missed."

Sadly, he got what he asked for . Apparently we have one somewhere here in AZ, but I'm too disgusted to ever eat there. Food and medical does not go well together. Friggin gross!

First vanilla malt I had since the 70s, I think. For some reason I wanted a beer with it. Hodad's was surprisingly not up to par that day in the burger department, though. Too much crap on it & not enough meat. The buns were soaked before I even finished. Must have ordered incorrectly, because the first time I went there (when you took a group of us), it was top notch.

http://shine.yahoo.com/shine-food/fast-food-chain-offers-monster-burger-with-nine-patties-175115023.html
image
"This week the company announced that the Triple Triple was here to stay. As of March 1, it will be the priciest burger on their menu at $12.99 a pop. So just how many calories are packed in a burger with nine patties? Jake’s Wayback didn't respond to our request by press time. So we were left to loosely estimate. A cheeseburger is listed at 570 calories, on the chain's website. If you multiply that by 9, you get a whopping 5,130 calories with approximately 117 grams of saturated fat. Now subtract about eight sandwich buns, since this stack is mostly meat. All told, you've got one dish with a calorie count that comes close to six buckets of KFC Fried chicken, or five Pizza Hut Meat Lovers' Pizza.
Only the Quadruple Bypass Burger from the appropriately named Heart Attack Grill in Dallas, Texas, puts the Triple Triple to shame. This burger, with four half-pound patties, clocks in at an insane 8,000 calories and its bun is smothered in lard.
