Update on my new infra-red grill. Amazing! Since I can set three different grilling temperatures at the same time, I can grill three totally different things at the same time without burning one of them or waiting forever for the other. Since it doesn't rely on air temp to cook anything, it's ready to grill almost instantly. Plus it has an incinerator setting to burn off food residue if you want to.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Anybody tried Habit Burger yet?

Sorry you didn't enjoy it, the one in Studio City thoroughly knocked my socks off. I am speaking from experience - my taste buds are on point, I compete with a BBQ team and we have won several competitions. Smile

Will have to check it out sometime. Thanks!

Is that the place I went to with you in HB,
when the other place was closed on the sunday evening?

I forgot about Habbit burger.

Has anyone in LA area been to the Apple Pan?
old school place from the 20s or 30s,
also famous for apple pie.
saw a show about it, must go, droooool.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I eat at the Apple Pan every couple of months. It is an old-school place that dates back to 1947. It's a tasty burger which gets extra points with the whole "time machine" experience thing going on. Take away the history though and many people consider it an overpriced burger no better than In-and-Out.

It's kind of like Pink's Chili Dogs. Why do people stand in line for 30-60 minutes to eat a hot dog that they could probably make just as well on their own. I think it's both for the tradition and the ritual. Works for me. Smile

Not yet. I need to go to Canter's, too. Been to the Pantry a few times, though.

If I liked Bloody Marys, I'd order one.
and I would love to have a BLT like that,
but alas, it is not a BURGER.

I went to Habit burger on sun. nite.
just so so, would eat again.
but wouldn't make a special trip to get it.

I can't see the picture on my pc at work. Is that the Sobelman's bloody mary? I would be willing to take any out of town visitors to Sobelman's at any time. Great burger.

I ordered an "Elvis Burger" at an airport restaurant a few weeks back. It was pimento cheese and onion rings on a massive burger. I almost died.

Freddy's is pretty tasty... not a massive burger, but full-flavor

My fave is the Back Abbey burger at "The Back Abbey" in Claremont, CA. Get it with a full order of pomme frittes fried in duck fat and a Delirium Tremens and you'll be in......Paradise!
