Update on my new infra-red grill. Amazing! Since I can set three different grilling temperatures at the same time, I can grill three totally different things at the same time without burning one of them or waiting forever for the other. Since it doesn't rely on air temp to cook anything, it's ready to grill almost instantly. Plus it has an incinerator setting to burn off food residue if you want to. —This is Noel. Is that the place I went to with you in HB, I forgot about Habbit burger. Has anyone in LA area been to the Apple Pan? Jeff(bigtikidude) |

I eat at the Apple Pan every couple of months. It is an old-school place that dates back to 1947. It's a tasty burger which gets extra points with the whole "time machine" experience thing going on. Take away the history though and many people consider it an overpriced burger no better than In-and-Out. It's kind of like Pink's Chili Dogs. Why do people stand in line for 30-60 minutes to eat a hot dog that they could probably make just as well on their own. I think it's both for the tradition and the ritual. Works for me. |

Not yet. I need to go to Canter's, too. Been to the Pantry a few times, though. —Radio Free Bakersfield--60 Minutes of TWANG, CRUNCH, OOMPH. |

I can't see the picture on my pc at work. Is that the Sobelman's bloody mary? I would be willing to take any out of town visitors to Sobelman's at any time. Great burger. —The Exotics 1994-Current |

I ordered an "Elvis Burger" at an airport restaurant a few weeks back. It was pimento cheese and onion rings on a massive burger. I almost died. —The Mystery Men? |

My fave is the Back Abbey burger at "The Back Abbey" in Claremont, CA. Get it with a full order of pomme frittes fried in duck fat and a Delirium Tremens and you'll be in......Paradise!
