The iconic scene from Pulp Fiction starring John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019. The film, and especially the soundtrack, started the 'Third Wave of Surf Music'.
'Stories from Shamehill' has been riding this wave since 2012. After an EP (Same same but different - 2015), live single (Made in Amsterdam - 2016) and a 7 "vinyl single (El Salto del Jalapeño / Queen or Tides - 2017) - recorded in Los Angeles during the California Dreamin 'Tour - is there finally the band's first full-length:' Royale with Cheese '.
At the end of the endless Dutch summer of 2019, Stories from Shamehill’s lady and gentlemen entered the legendary Amsterdam IJland Studio to record eight juicy tracks that would not be out of place on the soundtrack of an obscure Quentin Tarantino movie.
On 'Royale with Cheese' the band will take you on a cinematic journey: from the Californian beaches to the Russian tundra and back. Hard and heavy but also spheric and sultry.
You'll dig it the most!

I set up a show with Frankie, King of Hawaii and The Delstroyers tonight and I couldn't go because I am hooked up to a machine that makes noises when I am bad. So Ferenc and the band came and played a whole set in my front room. Unreal generosity from Ferenc, Karen and the rest of the band, I was speechless.
The ReR Megacorp have released an 8 CD boxed set of experimental surf music: ALAN JENKINS The Experimental Surf Music BOX.
This may not necessarily be of interest to surf purists.

Lake Effect Reverb and WJCU are having a holiday charity show featuring The Kahuna Kings and Beyonderers. Lotus Pedal and Dead Earth are also playing. Admission is free and we will be collecting cash and non-perishable donations for the Cleveland Foodbank, Friends of the Cleveland Kennel, and the Alzheimers's Association. Doors open at 7 and show starts at 7:30.

The Waterboarders new album "Plymouth Five-0" is available now. The UK surf band release their 10 track CD, available through the Facebook page with downloads available from https://thewaterboarders.bandcamp.com.
The release party is on 3rd November at Rockets & Rascals, Barbican, Plymouth UK from 7pm with The Waterboarders playing between 8pm and 9pm. After party drinks at The Nowhere Inn until 3am.
