Surfonica Release 1st EP ''Tales from the Sea of Istanbul''

Hi, I'm Pablo and I'm the guitaris of Surfonica, an Instrumental Surf Band form Hurlingham, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Recently we released our first EP entitled ''Tales from the Sea of Istanbul'' you can hear it and download it (for free!) at our Bandcamp page!

We also have recorded a full length album that's being mixed by me at the moment, the idea is to release this album before the end of this year, so you'll be hearing about us sooner than you think :)

Hope you enjoy our EP!

Best regards from Argentina!

SURF AND FLAMENCO - new album 'Surf Flamingo'

Hello, I'm actually looking to get my new album reviewed.  It's called 'Surf Flamingo' and is a Flamenco guitar approach to classic surf tunes and some spaghetti western classics.

My name is Ben Woods, I live in Long Beach, CA and play Flamenco guitar professionally.  I discovered that American surf classics, Spaghetti western scores and Flamenco music all share a common spirit.  With "Surf Flamingo" I explore this spirit.  I would love to hear some reviews, thoughts and opinions from you guys.  Thanks.

-Ben Woods

Surf Kings new website

First off I would like to thank Jeff "Big Tiki Dude" for inviting the Surf Kings to play his 7th annual Surf Guitar Convention 101! We had a really good time, and what a great event it was. As a result of that show, the Surf Kings are back! Tom Stanton on lead guitar, the original drummer Jim Harris back on the skins, Pat Raymond returning once again on bass, Ben Redman was added on supporting guitar, and lastly Ray Mangigian on smoldering sax.

The band has never sounded better, and with this renewed energy we built a new website www.thesurfkings.com Please check it out and sign up for the newsletter so we can keep you posted on any news or up coming shows or events.

Also, if anybody out there has pics or video of the Surf Kings we would be interested in checking it out for the new website.  You can contact me at surfking1@aol.com

Thanks, Tom Stanton and the Surf Kings
