Instrumental band V2—featuring members of The Ventures, Bob Spalding and Leon Taylor—is kicking off a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo on February 23rd to raise funds towards producing a debut album and to introduce itself to a worldwide fan base.
The album will feature a balanced mix of classic instrumentals as well as new compositions. Featured guest artists on the album will include Eric Johnson (Out Of Limits, Pipeline), Adrian Belew (Telstar), and George Tomsco (Bulldog).
Tracking for the album will begin in May 2015 under the direction of Grammy-nominated producer, Chris “Frenchie” Smith.
Perk offerings at various levels will include: Limited vinyl release; V2 limited edition Couch guitar strap (created only for the campaign and for featured musical guests); concert tickets; signed and numbered color print; private guitar lesson with Bob Spalding. There will also be limited perks such as picking a classic instrumental for V2 to record for the crowdfunded edition on the album (limit 3) and an Executive Producer credit (limit 4).
The campaign will run for 4 weeks and will be tracked as #VivaV2.

The Blue Hawaiians have spent the past six months working with grammy nominated producer (and creator of the hit compilation series The Ultra Lounge for Capitol Records) Brad Benedict on arrangements of thirteen classic Christmas songs for what we think will be one of the coolest instrumental Christmas records of all time. Inspired by everything from Phil Spector to Link Wray, Les Baxter to Gene Krupa, this is going to be amazing! We will be starting a Kickstarter campaign in early February to raise the funds to make this happen. We will have some very cool rewards to offer. So look for a posting here in the next few weeks. No new shows to announce at the moment.

Danny McMartin delivers a stampede of luscious surf rock on his debut solo release “Surfer Libre”.
Danny is a musician originally from Sydney Australia relocating to London in the name of pursuing music, adventure and stepping out in faith. His Surf Rock style pays tribute to legends such as The Beach Boys, Dick Dale and The Shadows. His years of experience have seen him performing intimate shows for Amy Winehouse, members of Jamiroquai and The Clash. To sharing the stage with members of INXS playing their greatest hits.
His latest EP is an organic feel good vibe, bringing with it an environmental message about respecting God’s creation and appreciating what we’ve been given. The tunes are a modern take on a classic genre presenting it in a fresh way for a new generation to discover and embrace. Staying true to form and respecting the forefathers of this style some tracks are instrumental giving a platform form that transports the listener straight to the beach. Balancing the EP on the other tracks with lyrics that any ocean lover will relate to that inspires a heart to preserve what we have, while we still have it.

Satan's Pilgrims Italian Tour & New CD Release Kickstarter Campaign
With your help we are hoping to return to Italy to play for the first time since the 90s. Airfare is extremely expensive for five of us, and since we don't all live in the same state anymore or play regularly together, we need your help to make this dream of ours a reality while making it possible to see our overseas fans, friends and family and to release unreleased and obscure material.
When you back the project at a $30 level, you'll get a 26 song cd months before it is officially released. That's about $1.15 a song-not very much more than the average song download price! You'll get our very first basement recordings that were only released on a cassette in Portland. You'll get never before heard songs like "Mr. Beatle" and "One Potato, Two Potato" and others. You'll get to hear rare numbers like "Nowheresville" that only appeared on a local cassette compilation with Eliot Smith and the NW rocker, "House Party", plus lots if other non-album tracks from the 90s and a couple of live ones from the SG101 Convention in 2011. We've been working really hard to make this a cool collection that would be a nice reward for backing our project, along with the other new items we have as rewards. Reverberati - Combat Surf CD (Double Crown Records)
Reverberati were an Italian surf/instro band that lasted just a short period of time, but created a bit of buzz. This amazing 10 song CD, with one untitled bonus track, saw limited release a few years ago as a CD-R. Sadly, it didn't get wider distribution at the time, but we're here to fix that situation. The four-piece combo really ripped it up in the studio, laying down a steller set of recordings featuring the talents of Lorenzo "Surfer Joe" Valdambrini on drums. But let's not forget the crunchy, reverby twin guitar attack of Fufu or Claude, or the low, driving bass of Falo. Great performances and songwriting abound. Of course, coming from Italy, you know there's gotta be a spaghetti western influence as well, most notably shown with the tune "Zako". Cover art comes from the always amazing Fred Lammers.
