Satan's Pilgrims - Taco Truck / Neahkahnie 7" (Double Crown)
Satan’s Pilgrims bring you the latest in stereophonic entertainment with their timeless and engaging surf instrumentals “Taco Truck” and “Neahkahnie.” On the A-side, “Taco Truck” transports the listener to a magical place where delicious melodies reverberate from Venice Beach to Cape Cod. Some fear one day there will be a taco truck on every corner, Satan’s Pilgrims welcome that day! The B-Side is a caravan of pleasure with the deliberate and mellow song, “Neahkahnie”—bringing to mind the mysterious siren call of the mountain from which it was named. One part Jorgen Ingmann, one part triple-sec, one part fun!
This record is a co-release between Double Crown Records and Hidden Volume Records, who have wowed the world with their awesome garage, garage punk and (occasional) rock n’ roll instro releases, all packed in exquisite, deluxe sleeves. Recorded and mixed by Satan’s Pilgrims at the Mt. Hood Masonic Lodge, Portland, Ore., mastered by Gus Elg at Sky Onion. This is available in limited edition green vinyl and black vinyl - get your copy today as this will sell out quickly!
We will also include a limited edition, promotional postcard with every order while supplies last!

Spin The Bottle defines the free ranging Pool Boys approach to songwriting. Like the best mix tapes, the music on this album is all over the map. Just hit the shuffle button and you get fast ones, slow ones, some groovers, some art, some dopey stuff, and some vocals. Vocals? (Yes, and with apologies to our “instro only” fans!) Drift back to the loose radio days of the 60s when you might have a vocal and an instrumental version of the same song racing up the charts at the same time – think “Grazin’ in the Grass, “In With The In Crowd,” “Ghost Riders,” “Born Free” and many more. It was huge fun to hear how the same song can be rearranged in different ways, and it gave the Pool Boys a chance to work with some talented Bay Area vocalists.
Spin The Bottle, take a chance and embrace change— and the biggest change on this album is that the Pool Boys line-up solidified into a tight, consistent unit. So, rather than every song featuring guest artists sending in tracks from around the world like on the first two Pool Boys albums, the whole CD was recorded in one weekend with the dedicated band of five. Dusty Watson (drummer for The Sonics, Dick Dale, Agent Orange, Slacktone) was brought in as chief ass-kicker (Producer). Ass-kick he did, whipping the Pool Boys into a tight unit, streamlining arrangements, encouraging dynamics, all with attention to sonic detail.
Spin The Bottle is Frankie & Pool Boys third full length album on the Double Crown Records label and features 20 songs. That’s 14 new originals, 2 covers (Booker T and the MGs, The Surf Coasters) and 4 vocal versions. Every effort was made to use vintage instruments, recording equipment and techniques. The album cover art was created by legendary Oslo artist Fred Lammers.

Hey Everyone! We're stoked to announce that our full-length debut CD "The Lost Mission" is coming soon from Double Crown Records.
The Doltones - Dance Or Die CD (Double Crown Records)
It's the debut full-length CD by The Doltones, an up-and-coming surf/instro combo based in Finland that is popular in Scandinavia, and will become a favorite worldwide with this 13 song release. Mixing surf, instrumental rock, Rautalanka and spaghetti western melodies and twang, you'll be wowed by the performances, songwriting and production from start to finish. Most of the songs are originals, but they have worked in covers of some obscure classics, such as "Space Probe", "Theme From The Unknown", "Department S", "Les Aventuriers" and "Collision Course". Guitars, bass, drums and occasional trumpet deliver a sound that you'll play over and over, and surely contributing to your summer soundtrack.
Tracks: Space Probe - Dance Or Die - Theme From The Unknown - Speed Driver - Mysterioso - Triumph A Go-Go - Department S - Hot Swinger - Les Aventuriers - Collision Course - Quicksand - Latin Surfer - Return To The Jupiter

V/A - Seasonal Favorites: Volume Four CD (Double Crown)
People have bugged us the past few years, even in the middle of the summer, asking when the next volume of our Seasonal Favorites series would be out. Well, the agonizing wait is over - it's here, just in time for Christmas 2016! This may be our best one yet, with new recordings from The Beagles, Black Flamingos, The Ogres, Twang-O-Matics, Urban Surf Kings, The Other Timelines, The TomorrowMen, Tiki Joe's Ocean and more. Plus, it's got some past faves from Martin Cilia, Los Straitjackets, The Barbary Coasters and others. Mostly holiday surf/instro tunes, but there are a few vocals to really get you in the spirit of the season. 15 instros and 5 vocals, with cover art as always from the incomparable Johnny Bartlett!
Tracks: Martin Cilia: Christmas In July - Los Straitjackets: Groovy Old St Nick - The Beagles: Snoopy’s Christmas - Meshugga Beach Party: Hot Rod Hannukah - Black Flamingos: How The Gurch Stole Christmas - The Barbary Coasters: Lump Of Coal - Twang-O-Matics: Staffan var en stalledräng - Urban Surf Kings: I Saw Three Ships (Mr. Rebel Version) - Fronkensteen: Nutty Sweet - Aqualads: Angels We Have Heard On High - The Ogres: Xmas Is A Bust - The TakeOffs: Santa Claus Is Coming To Surf - The Other Timelines: Public Access Christmas Special - The Kanaloas: X-Mas Palm Tree - The Falcons: Ye Merry Gentlemen - Crazy Aces: Crazy AceMas - The TomorrowMen with E-Rock: Friends (At Christmas Time) - Travelers Of Tyme: Dance Of The Sugarplum Fairy - Tiki Joe’s Ocean: Jingle Bells - Whoa Nellie! Vera & Johnny: Little Johnny Got a Japanese Guitar for Christmas
This long-awaited disc by The Concussions is here! A dozen raw, twangy surf and guitar instrumental tunes, delivered by guys that are masters of their instruments and know their way around a recording studio. Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, this combo is led by Dick Chiclet on lead guitar, who also produced recorded and mixed this release. His production style, which favors the use of vintage gear and is inspired by Joe Meek and others in the past and present that have stuck to analog recording techniques. This all goes towards delivering a disc that will appeal to surf and vintage instrumental rock n' roll aficionados, as well as those that are just looking to move and groove on the dance floor. If you love the early 60s Brit instro sound of The Tornados or Shadows, or the more modern instrumental recordings of The Kaisers, you will absolutely flip over this disc! The disc art is truly out of this world - incredible illustration work by Shawn Dickinson!
Tracks: Pump City - Trouble Gum - A Skilled, Generous Lover - Have Mersey - Moonballs - Flicksville - Polyester Fester - Whack Job - Dock Rockblock - Storm Team Dave - In A Mystic Mood - Brain Bats

The Madeira - Ancient Winds CD (Double Crown)
The Madeira are back with their most diverse release to date - soaring guitars, pounding rhythms and exquisite, nuanced songwriting make this perhaps the best release by the band so far. Their previous studio CD, Tribal Fires, was named as the runner-up in Pipeline Instrumental Review's "Album Of The Year" awards for 2012 (and their latest release, the live Sonic Cataclysm album, won the Pipeline album of the year award last year), but this disc somehow manages, through the relentless efforts of all four musicians, to top it in what's sure to be one of the top releases of 2015. Ancient Winds features 12 original songs as well as a cover of The Atlantics' "Coral Island". Several of the songs were collaborations with some of the premier guitarists and songwriters of the last 50 years, including Jim Skiathitis of The Atlantics, Danny Snyder of The TomorrowMen, Jeremy Dehart of the Aqualads and Alex Faide of Los Twang! Marvels. Original cover art was created by Lorraine Schleter and CD layout by Ferenc Dobronyi.
Tracks: Journey To The Center Of The Surf - Hail, Poseidon! - Ancient Winds - Sirena - Caravela - Farthest Shore - Dawn In Cadiz - Coral Island - Prelude To Launch - The Argonaut - Here Be Dragons - Leviathan - Into The Deep
