Help us meet our monthly goal:
CDs aren't such a financial stretch, but vinyl sure is these days! To release our latest, 'Datura Moon', on clear purple wax, we are essentially using Kickstarter as a pre-order strategy here, PLUS we are releasing 'Living Fossils', a CD of all the studio tracks that we've put on various compilations over the past three decades (plus lotsa rare demos)....
The time has cometh. The Blue Hawaiians have officially launched our #Kickstarter to fund the recording and distribution of our latest Surf-Rock-Noir-Exotica Christmas record! Join the Good Fight! Donate today! And if not, send it to three people you know, ask them to do the same. You, our fans, our friends, YOU ARE THE TIDE from which the WAVE IS BORN!
There are prizes, rewards, oh-you-bet! From Digital Downloads of the album to freshly minted vinyl pressings! From hanging with the band at Capitol Records to claiming the title of EXECUTIVE PRODUCER! From custom surfboards to standup-paddle boards! From signed posters to signed records to signed...we'll sign anything! From your baby (crying in the crib) to your BABY (hanging from your arm)! And-oh-so-much-more...
The time has cometh. The next record. Become a part of the coolest Christmas release this side of the 21st Century. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/141091211/the-blue-hawaiians-new-instrumental-christmas-albu
The Blue Hawaiians have spent the past six months working with grammy nominated producer (and creator of the hit compilation series The Ultra Lounge for Capitol Records) Brad Benedict on arrangements of thirteen classic Christmas songs for what we think will be one of the coolest instrumental Christmas records of all time. Inspired by everything from Phil Spector to Link Wray, Les Baxter to Gene Krupa, this is going to be amazing! We will be starting a Kickstarter campaign in early February to raise the funds to make this happen. We will have some very cool rewards to offer. So look for a posting here in the next few weeks. No new shows to announce at the moment.

With your help we are hoping to return to Italy to play for the first time since the 90s. Airfare is extremely expensive for five of us, and since we don't all live in the same state anymore or play regularly together, we need your help to make this dream of ours a reality while making it possible to see our overseas fans, friends and family and to release unreleased and obscure material.
When you back the project at a $30 level, you'll get a 26 song cd months before it is officially released. That's about $1.15 a song-not very much more than the average song download price! You'll get our very first basement recordings that were only released on a cassette in Portland. You'll get never before heard songs like "Mr. Beatle" and "One Potato, Two Potato" and others. You'll get to hear rare numbers like "Nowheresville" that only appeared on a local cassette compilation with Eliot Smith and the NW rocker, "House Party", plus lots if other non-album tracks from the 90s and a couple of live ones from the SG101 Convention in 2011. We've been working really hard to make this a cool collection that would be a nice reward for backing our project, along with the other new items we have as rewards. We want you to be a part of it and be the first kids on the block to have the new release by Satan's Pilgrims, "Frankenstomp". Thank you!
The Pyronauts are going to Europe this summer to play the Surfer Joe Festival in Italy! The band will also travel to a few other countries (TBA).
The buoys will be taking their new CD: The Pyronauts Live in San Francisco with them, but they need your help to make it happen!

Russell here from Gold Dust Lounge (Miami, FL). We have a Kickstarter going (6 days left) that's essentially a pre-order for our upcoming album, Lost Sunset. It's a surf/spy road trip extravaganza. Think The Mermen meet The Fathoms meet The Vanduras... Something like that.
The vinyl edition has cover art by Tiki/Pulp artist, Robert Jimenez. Check it out here.
I've been remiss for not posting here sooner. We have SIX days left for the pre-order. Lots of goodies. Click here to find out more about us and our new album.

Great White Caps are embarking on a national tour and making a documentary visiting some historic places in the birth of surf rock! We have started a Kickstarter campaign to help us along the way. If this is something you, or someone you know may want to help us with please check out our project. We also made a video starring the one and only Big Shrimp, check it out!
As many of you probably have seen by now, a brand new compilation album is coming out - Brave New Surf. What you may not know is that the impetus behind this album is twofold. First, to present some of the very best surf bands playing today. Secondly, to use this compilation as a promotional tool to expose new audiences to this great music. Double Crown Records agreed to print up extra copies of the album with the sole purpose of sending them out to music reviewers, websites and magazines. But to do this will take extra funds. Packaging and postage costs add up quick, thus we came up with this Kickstarter project.
Please go to our Kickstarter page and check out all the premiums and make a donation if you can. Absolutely 100% of all funds donated will go towards the promotion of this record and if we're successful this may lead to more releases. If you can, share the project on all your social media and email all your friends. This is our big push to get surf music out into a more public consciousness and our success depends upon you.
Remember, there is a limited time for this campaign, it concludes on Friday Dec 9th, so we have to reach our goal by then.
