Heythat's pretty funny, I didn't know someone put together a video for that song. Thanks for posting, Danny.

So here we are standing in line to get a greasy fish fix at Captain D's not far from the house tonight. My old ears detect something surfy......

Ah ha! Tonight's background music included both "Surf Rider" by The Lively Ones, and Wipe Out. Mrs K, never one to be outdone, suggested that I might want to apply there for a part time job. Oh, she's so funny...........

Hmmmmm, some tasty hush puppies though!

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

My band has played the Ventures version of Hawaii 5-0 for few years now. New lineup with added guitar allows me to play the first melody (before it modulates) then back-up sax instead of guitar (I am a fledgling sax player). using the new Hawaii 5-0 TV show them song to learn the horn parts.

I walk in to the house from the studio after practicing and my 13 year old, while laying waste to whatever world he is visiting on the X-Box is humming the melody and the trumpet parts to the song (he is a trumpet player)

Takeway: 1) very proud dad moment and 2) My music shed is not as sound proofed as I thought.

THAT is cool Dad. Thumbs Up

That Nature Cat cartoon on PBS will play a semi surfy tune every now and again. Laughing

MooreLoud.com - A tribute to Dick Dale.

On a BBQ TV show last weekend, there was some surfy stuff in one of the segments. Equal parts spaghetti western and Theme from Endless Summer.

Nothing better than a video of proof it really happened. Especially at the Bellagio, where there might be some doubts.

Happy Sunsets!

"Pipeline " again, up north visiting our daughter at college. The North County Fair Arcata, CA. I give you Doug Fir & the 2 X 4's...

i was at the 24 hours of LeMons (https://www.24hoursoflemons.com) car race last weekend and one of the guys running the event was riding around the paddock on a scooter chair with music blasting from a boom box.......the tune was 'pipeline' when he went by our campsite.
