Wow great list Kristena!

This modern list is gonna be so much harder for me
Than the classics.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I had a hard time with it. It's tough to narrow down so much great stuff. I tried to go with my gut at the moment. Didn't over think it too much

Hey!!!! How are ya, my friend?

Doing good Jake! At work most of the time. Couldn't resist doing a top 10 post.

Mike,
We have very similar tastes sir.
And I too love the Go Exotic album too.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

surf revival tunes would have been easier for me if we could have listed our top 50

www.surfintheeye.com

The number of Surf Revival lists coming in are staying way behind the number of Classic Surf lists. But I see why. This is the weekend you have all been waiting for. All DJ´s and Music Director Eddy Luca have compiled their favourite Surf Revival tracks. This should give you more than enough inspiration to finish those lists. Enjoy!

No way! Big Grin

I think Jim has excellent taste! Especially his choice for track #3! Cool

BOSS FINK "R.P.M." available now from DOUBLE CROWN RECORDS!

Oh, I don't fault his taste at all, especially given #5. Very Happy Definitely fantastic songs and modern classics. I just thought it was funny that there isn't a single post-'98 track in his list.

Just joking of course! But yes, nice picks. I love the inclusion of SCOTS (Southern Culture on the Skids) on Jim's and a couple of other people's lists. I put "The Wet Spot" on mine. Even though they didn't play strictly surf, their surf instros are really fantastic and they definitely played a part in spreading the word in the 90's.

I think it's related to why my own surf-revival favorites are post-joining sg101 in early 2011. They're the songs I bonded with as I heard and bought the music that came out since then. I substituted a couple favorite older ones because two of my choices were from 2013. I'm still slowly working my way back from 2010 to the beginning.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

At least he didn't fill the list up with nebs tunes...

I don't even think I could name 10 surf tunes period, let alone those that were written post apocalypse.

"Skullbucket" - great choice Carol!
It will be on my list, we play it in our set. SCOTS instrumentals are important to me because when I first heard them years ago I really wasn't aware that people were still making this type of music in such a valid way.
I'll be completing my list this weekend and a lot of the choices will most likely reflect this period of discovery for me.
But wow, this is hard. I find new amazing bands every other day and some have been around a while............fun!
