Sharawaji Records is proud to announce the release of the debut album from The Syndicate of Surf.
The debut recording, Studio Surf Styles Vol 1: Hodads Hang Ten! has been professionally mixed and mastered for release as a digital download in addition to a full retail release as a Limited Edition Digipack CD.
Hodads Hang 10! explores the the rich sonic landscape as the sun sets on the surf music craze of the mid 1960s, and considers how surf music would have developed if the British Invasion had not so much wiped out surf music in the late 1960s, but melded with it in a glorious tidal wave of Silvertone powered rock n roll.
You will hear tracks originally recorded by The Stooges, The Dictators, The Ramones, Bob Lind, The Seeds, The Sex Pistols and Swing West in addition to three original compositions by Da Vinci Flinglestein.
To celebrate the release we will be playing tracks from Hodads Hang 10! on www.surfrockradio.com from 2355 HKT, that's around midday in Eastern USA.
The album is available now from Sharawaji Records as a digital download and in a few days as a Limited Edition Digipack CD.
The Cruncher's new CD “Schlicktown Surf” was released on January 11th and since then Herbert has mailed copies to friends and distributors.
In America it will be availabe from DWM Music (http://www.dwmmusic.com/), in England from BIM BAM Records (http://www.bim-bam.com/), in Germany from CD-Import + Versand International, Walter Bubenzer (e-mail: WBubenzer@t-online.de) and Kamikaze Records (http://www.kamikaze-records.de/shop/home.cfm), or write directly to info@thecruncher-reverb.de.
You will get 20 instrumentals between 1.46 and 5.46 minutes long. The total playing time is 60.21 minutes.
There are happy go lucky tunes like Pow Wow, El Azul, Going Back to Memphis,Flash Flood, High Octane or Jezebel.
Squad Car is not the Eddie Bertrand´s tune but one of Don Cole - the original I have never heard I have to confess! The same is to Surfer´s Blues written by Les Green.
Some tunes are played in a Duane Eddy twangy guitar sound with additional saxophone, piano. organ or even strings.
There are tunes where you sit and say – “wow, I have to listen carefully what the Cruncher did here”. Tracks like the spacy sounding “Skyrider”, Jefferson Airplane's “White Rabbit” or the classic “Don't Be Cruel”. Forget about the lyrics in your ear and just listen to these great instrumental versions!!
As Herbert is not only a guitarist but also a producer and arranger in some cases (“Genesis” or ”My Hometown” – his own composition) he tried to find out how many instruments and sounds he could add to the tune and how it sounds afterwards. I am waiting for the public reactions to these efforts.
IMHO this is the Crunchers most sophisticated music output so far. My favorites are Taboo, White Rabbit, Skyrider.

"Surf My Spy" is B11's third release.
All original instrumental journey telling the dramatic story of a Space Age spy.
"Space Age Tragedy" - This melody will take you to a time when everyday objects were designed as pieces of art. It is another one to add to the "dramatic adventure in 12/8", a B11 specialty.
"Spooky Soca Surf" - a new genre is born! Surf music with a latin flavor girls can strip to! You're welcome! A Halloween favorite as well! Featuring all minor chords for complete spookiness and not a glimpse of hope: you drown in reverb of horror and tremble with fear from the pulsating tremolo. Features an appearance by Satan himself. He deceives with some funky lines at first before revealing what he came for... Luckily our spy has a vehicle at her disposal:
"Surf My Spy" - a rocking surf number. Our spy survived the Space Age Tragedy, beat the crap out of Satan, and surfed free into the cosmos! Hooray!
Boyan Hristov - all music, arrangements, guitars and bass, recording engineer, mixing, artwork concept
Mike Levesque - drums
Tom Appleman - bass on "Space Age Tragedy"
John Escobar - recording engineer (drums), audio editing
Carlos Valenzuela - artwork
Teodora Hristov - graphic design
Scott Craggs - Mastering
Produced by Boyan Hristov (ASCAP) © ℗ 2015

Hi!
Green Cookie Records and Balu & die Surfgrammeln are pleased to announce that our EP "Los Chicharrones del Surf" is out now and available via greencookierecords.bandcamp.com, www.soundflat.de and other vendors - enjoy.
Recorded over three days in 2008, Only 'Verb Can Break Your Heart has been long gestating for a physical release having previously only received a hushed digital release in 2013.
While appearing to flirt with a multitude of genres, the LP's songs were written only with big melodies in mind. Double-picking, counterpoint, trumpets, acoustic guitars, and lots of reverb create the distinct sound of Only 'Verb Can Break Your Heart.
Available for purchase on theverb.bandcamp.com/merch
The allbum is pressed on 160gm vinyl and contains a free .wav download.
