Light Strucks is a surf trio hailing from Uberlândia, Brazil. Their major influences are Surf Music, Punk Rock, Psychedelic Rock and "sertanejo de raiz" (Brazilian country music). Formed in 2015, the band played around Brazil and recorded their first album in 2016. The self-titled LP and CD is going to be released on January 20th on Reverb Brasil Records and the band is going on a massive tour around Brazil and Uruguay to promote it.

The Brazilian band Retrofoguetes just released their new album "Enigmascope Vol. 1". The album pays homage to 60's spy movies and all the tracks were composed having scenes from an imaginary movie in mind.
From "Agente Duplo" to "O homem de Moscou", the movie has pursuit scenes, a bad guy ("El Vibora"), a Bond girl ("Miss Cuba") and travels the world with "Hong Kong A-Go-Go" and "Conexão Istambul".
The algum is already available on CD and on youtube. It will soon be available on vinyl and on most digital platforms.
The Tremolo Beer Gut is about to tour Brazil and release an exclusive double b-sided 7'', with the tracks "Caipirinha River Cruise" and their take on Jorge Ben's "A Minha Menina".
They will play in Rio at the Danish Pavillion, at Ipanema Beach, as well as a few more dates in Rio, São Paulo, Piracicaba and Campinas.
The EP will be released by Reverb Brasil Records, Crunchy Frog Records and Esta Noite Encarnarei no Teu Compacto.

The longest-living Surf Music festival has come to it's 15th edition! The line-up and poster for Primeiro Campeonato Mineiro de Surfe has just been released.
Since 2000, the festival takes place in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on Easter weekend. Eleven bands will be playing this edition of the most important surf music festival in Brazil. Check the artwork made by Rex, from Retrofoguetes, and the line-up.

In March 12, the guys from Jubarte Ataca (Surf Carcará from the city of Natal, northeast of Brasil) will organize the second edition of the SELVAGEM FESTIVAL.
The first surf meeting of the northeast of Brasil. Below we leave the poster and the link of the event on Fb.
Documentary recorded during the tour of the THE BAMBI MOLESTERS by Brazil in Jan/2015.
One of the most important surf rocks bands of the present day did 8 shows in 11 days and recorded some Tv Shows in the bigger country of South America.
In the documentary it is possible know the band history, see the guys on the road and a little piece of different gigs in Brasil in cities like São Paulo, Piracicaba and Ilha Comprida.

Next Monday, Nov/23 at 7pm (Brazilian Time), LOS PROTONES (Peru) will do a live broadcasting show in São Paulo, at Sesc Consolação Theatre.
This show is part of the Project Instrumental Sesc Brasil; the Mamuteprod/Orleone Recz (Booking Agency/Label) booking some Surf bands in this stage in the last times. Bands like THE BAMBI MOLESTERS (Croacia), THE MUTANTS (Finland), THE MULLET MONSTER MAFIA and another ones, they made their concerts in the most bigger city of South America; also broadcast live show to the whole world by the Project site.
