After many years of muttered threats and garbled incoherencies, David Arnson (me) of Insect Surfers has released an 18-page coloring book, 'Insect Surfers & Alien Allies'. Pictures range from well, insects surfing (and playing guitar, pictured here), to bizarre and fanciful extraterrestrial landscapes. First hundred copies are all autographed and I'm happy to personalize any for you, too. Use this link below if you wish to order, and note that POSTAGE IS INCLUDED in the price.
I was busting my nuts trying to get this out BEFORE the holiday season, but various printer bugaboos were against me. Of course, this is a timeless gift, anyway, right?!
Thanxx,folks!

After a short hiatus, The Phantom Operators have released a 5-song EP, “Surf Dopes on Punk”. This EP features surf-soaked versions of punk classics by bands such as the Dead Kennedys, Agent Orange, the Misfits, and Social Distortion. The band considers this release a tribute to some of the bands that influenced them and hopes that listeners look up the originals after listening to their interpretations. The Operators also have plans to release a full-length album of original material in the new year. The band’s last full-length was 2016’s Hasta Muerte. “Surf Dopes on Punk” along with all of the band’s other material is available for purchase/download at Bandcamp

Max Recordings (of Little Rock, AR) is happy to announce the release of Christmas With The Supraphonics! This full-length album has 11 covers of Christmas classics and 1 original song. Very influenced by The Ventures' late 1960s psychedelic period (think Guitar Freakout, Super Psychedlics), these arrangements come with a lot of fuzz, wah, 12-string, and various organ sounds. Plus country and lounge flavors here and there. The website below takes you to various ways to enjoy the record-- Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, iTunes. Happy Holidays!
Please join us as we celebrate our 35th with some great bands. We open with Don and the Quixotes from Portland, The 1Uppers (country), The 'Verb, The Delstroyers CD release party and our headliner Satan's Pilgrims!
We start early because we are old.
I am a Surf Guitarist and attended the International Surfer Joe Festival in Livorno, Italy in June 2017. I had a good time listening to some great international bands….
