Nokie Edwards Concert In March

Hey gang, we're doing a show with Nokie Edwards (lead guitar of the Ventures as you all know). The Reefriders will be there, you gotta see them, thier drummer Glen kicks some serious punk/surf butt. We'll be there doing our surf/psychedelic thing, and then Nokie will be performing an all-Ventures setlist. Guitar Geek Festival January 17, 2009 All-Mosrite Band and much more!

Howdy gang, sorry I don't have a lot of time to be very active on this list, but I thought I would post info about the upcoming Guitar Geek Festival #6 in Anaheim, CA on January 17, 2009. The headliner this year are Buddy Holly's Original Crickets (yes, the real guys, including Sonny Curtis, who not only recorded with the Crickets in the first two years, but he also wrote "I Fought The Law" fer cryin' out loud!). However, there's going to be lots of stuff that should appeal to Guitar Geeks and Surf Snobs! We have (by popular request) Slacktone performing....we have The Ghastly Ones doing a special set of all "eleki" Japanese Group Sound instrumentals from the 60's....and we have the All-Mosrite Band featuring Brian Lonbeck, Venturesmania and other special guests all filling the stage with vintage original Mosrite instruments. Should be a gas! Hope to see you all there. You can find out all the details (and order tix) on

Your friend, Deke Dickerson.

We had a very nice crowd last month at Blondies. Sorry we didn't get it on video. Some of our fans from MySpace came out of the shadows to watch us play as well. We'll have a little merchandise there this time including T-Shirts, CD's, and those miniature guitar surfboards. We were joined by the Reefriders who are a cross between punk and classic surf. Thier drummer, Glenn James Campbell, is a hard-hitting oddessy that will blow your mind, while Bruce Brewington keeps it real with his vintage 1965 Fender Stratocaster through a Fender Reverb Tank, and Bud Custodio cranks out the rhythms on his Beatle bass, yes, his Beatle bass. All members of surfguitar101.

Hope to see you there!
