In 1998, me & my then-GF were looking for a place to eat in North Lake Tahoe. It was between seasons & on a Monday, so pretty much everything we drove by was closed. The Char Pit in King's Beach was open...and deserted. Ordered two blue cheeseburgers, finished them...and we looked at each other & I said, "Damn, that was good. I am seriously considering ordering another." She agreed. We ordered another. Have not done that before or since.

Holy frijoles! L & I just ate there for the first time this summer! Craigie is an unforgettable experience. Now we have to go back and try the burger...
Wow, cool! Nancy and I have not gone yet. (I know, we're bad parents) We might go in the Spring when the weather is nice. Ted, if you and Lynsey ever go back ask for Payton. He'll hook you up.

if you are ever in australia you've got to order a burger with 'the lot'.
meat patty, fried egg, beet root (pickled beets), onion, lettuce, tomato and grilled pineapple with whatever else you care to put on it. i couldn't get my mouth around one.

This is what I had for lunch today. It's the buffalo blue cheeseburger at Casino El Camino in Austin. 3/4 pounds of Angus smothered in blue cheese and dripping with buffalo wing sauce! Top it off with a pint of Guinness, and you're set for the day!

You're making me want to drive up there right now.
I usually go for the LA burger, just cause I like avacado on my burger.
Those are definitely some awesome burgers though.

Said it before, but TK Burger in Huntington "Surf City" rules them all. No Islands resturant... it's a dinky joint with vintage surf album covers and surf movie posters on the ceiling. And the burgers speak for themselves.

You betcha! And TK makes the best. I wouldn't eat anywhere that didn't have that option. Haven't eaten anything the "moos" for over 15 years.

+1 for Five Guys !!! that stuff is crack-on-a-bun
Some call it the In-n-Out of the East... Having had both, I'll beg to differ. Better than the real thing.
