TREMOLO BEER GUT

https://www.facebook.com/thetremolobeergut

https://www.discogs.com/artist/265427-The-Tremolo-Beer-Gut

They are here to put the URF! back in surf! They love tremolo, they love beer and they've got guts! The Tremolo Beer Gut is the premier retro-surf-rock band on the planet. Their records explodes with original yet classic compositions, recorded boldly in mono, dual stereo and whichever way the band damn well pleases. Live the band kicks some serious butt. Always a dangerous, sexy encounter with tons of smoke from their industrial strength smoke machine. The TBG are cool, sexy, evil (good evil, not bad evil) and drunk! Old school style!

On the surf and garage rock scene TBG has made a quite name for themselves after 3 amazing album releases and tons of shows all over the world – from USA to Russia and back. They opened the 60.000 capacity main stage of the Roskilde Festival in 2000 with added male choir, mandolinplayers, thermins and organ, but for maximum enjoyment catch the band at a sweaty, packed club. Grab a tall drink and your main squeeze and that's the most fun you can have outside of a double bed. Yessiree – The Tremolo Beer Gut is IT.

The Tremolo Beer Gut plays old school surf & western, a genre they've thought up themselves, which draws inspirations from the ultracool rough twangy guitar sound of 50s’ and 60s’ surf as well as the great film music of Mancini, Barry and Moricone. The songs are short and instrumental (apart from occasional shouting and carrying on). Almost all the material is original but the Beer Guts also play surf versions of songs from Kraftwerk, Sonic Youth, Beta Satan and more.

Old school is the key words for The TBG. They were the first band to release a MONO album in the new millenium when they released their second album in 2000. The band loves the old exotic ground breaking productions of Phil Spector, Brian Wilson, Joe Meek (and many others) much more than the clean, dry hi-fi stereo of today. And deep in our hearts: Don't we all?

As the intelligent music fan will notice the artwork for all the TBG releases are more or less the same. Under the motto: ”don’t fix it if it ain’t broke” they decided that their first 7-inch was so beautiful that they only changed the colours for their subsequent releases.

The three-song ep "Capricorn" is the debut release from Petrified Max, out of Los Angeles.

Surf band from San Francisco, Ca, USA.
The TomorrowMen, are a S.F. Bay Area veteran surfy pop instrumental band, with all 4 musicians deeply rooted in the local scene. This veteran band of 10 years have played countless shows around the Bay Area, as well as up and down the west coast from San Diego to Seattle. Most notably, they toured all across Italy in 2012, headlining the worlds biggest surf music festival - The Surfer Joe Summer Festival in Livorno. While on first listen their music comes off as energetic, catchy and full of fun hooks, the repeated listener is rewarded by their eclectic approach to writing and arranging their own songs, ultimately stretching the boundaries of the genre. You’ll hear elements of punk rock, prog, power pop, psychedelic, sunshine pop, spy, fuzz, classical, soundtrack, and they even have a video of their cover of a hit Punjabi song - Tunak Tunak Tun. Currently The Tmen are promoting their latest album - Futourism (On Double Crown records - check it out on Bandcamp), which has been receiving rave reviews. In addition to continuing to play local shows regularly, they’re planning to tour all across Europe in Summer of 2017.

The Blair - Pongracic Band
https://hillcountry.com/dc/music-calendar/single-event/1470962/blair-pongracic-band-washington/

The Blair-Pongracic Band are four guys with impressive musical resumes from the contemporary surf instrumental scene. Led by guitarists John Blair from Jon & The Nightriders and Ivan Pongracic from The Madeira and The Space Cossacks, The Blair-Pongracic band was formed in 2015 for a short tour of Italy and Spain. Their appearance at the Surfer Joe Summer Music Festival in Livorno, Italy, led the event promoter to report, “It is without any doubt that the highlight of the festival was the Blair-Pongracic Band...Ivan and John managed to put together a superb show, very heavy, direct, powerful, playing many songs that people in the surf community remember and appreciate." With over 17 combined LPs and CDs from Blair and Pongracic’s respective bands, there is plenty of material to fuel a strong, combined setlist. They are joined by drummer Dane Carter (also from The Madeira) and Jeremy DeHart (from The Aqualads and The Monterreys) on bass guitar. In June, lucky fans from Georgia to Indiana will have the opportunity to witness the power of The Blair-Pongracic Band as they head out on a nine-city tour.

Biography (From Facebook page)

THE STINGRAYS ...sixties surfbeat

In 1997 The Stingrays were washed up by a Typhoon to the cold coasts of good old Germany to bring the hot surf beat of the sixties from California to their home country.
Live on stage wearing their red jackets of 60–ies design they come over authentically. Their vintage sound à la Pulp Fiction is penetrated by the typical Stingrays-style, which makes dudes and chicks dance the whole night trough.
The album “ The First Wave “ has been released in summer 2015.

We are a '60s Surf Rock band based out of San Diego and have played all over San Diego at venues including The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon, The San Diego County Fair 4th of July Celebration, The Imperial Beach Sun & Sea Festival, The Kraken, Lucy's Tavern, 710 Beach Club, Mother's Saloon, and Helix Brewing Company.

We play all our favorite hits from the 60s! The Beach Boys, The Ventures, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors and more!

Lead Guitarist Nick "Spartacus" Dimolios first picked up the guitar and learned to play by ear at age 14 by listening to the greats. Later, he studied classical guitar and music theory at Grossmont College and has played in local bands ever since such as Acme Blues Band, Uncle Bob and the Earthmovers, Cathie and the Comets, and Two Wheeler Squealer.

Classically trained keyboardist and vocalist Jackson Hines, grew up in San Diego playing the piano and the trumpet and studing music theory from an early age.

Drummer Gary "G$" Peña was on his paper route as a young kid when he was asked to join a neighborhood band as their drummer. He spent all the money he earned on his first drum set. Later, he played the same stage as Savoy Brown and Iron Butterfly, whilst playing for local legends The Insights and Lobster's Blues Band, as well as starring Vegas acts.

Lead singer Richard Legeretta, "the soul man" of Ocean Beach, earned his rep when he led as front-man for The Insights.

Bassist Billy Jolt hails from Bombay Wadala, Maharashtra, India and studied music in Musikhö gskolan i Malmö, Sweden.

Probably best known for supplying the theme song to the Canadian TV show "The Kids in the Hall", Toronto's surf-punk trio Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet formed in 1984 and subsequently released a number of singles, EPs and three full-length albums. Many of the singles came packaged in humorous or unexpected ways, including one which came attached to a package of Jiffy Pop popcorn, and another which included a free board game. The group split up in 1995, and the three members went on to work with other bands. On February 17, 2001, bassist/vocalist Reid Diamond passed away after a battle with cancer.
