Personal Information (From Facebook page)

By www.soundsxp.com "Chewbaccas were a lot more Empire Strikes Back. It would be easy to dismiss this cool and cartoonish band as "Hombre o Astrohombre" but if anything they have a broader spectrum both sonically and musically than their heroes. Surf, samplers and SFX collide with Detroit rock and funky wah bass to provide the perfect soundtrack for a hover car chase. Loud, fast and"quirky: the MC5 meet the Munsters at Mission Control."

http://www.del-toros.com/

https://www.allmusic.com/album/del-toros-mw0002305466

Biography (From Facebook page)

There is a long stretch of highway between the bigger cities of the Netherlands and Alkmaar, the stomping grounds of the full throttle rock n roll trio del-Toros. It is in the four on the floor, pedal to the metal sound, throw a lustful fist in the air, it’s the head swinging style of rock n roll from del-Toros.

When you hear their sound you can imagine the inspiration hitting them as they open up along the highway, the boys returning from another blistering gig, somewhere else out there in the lowlands. The sonic surf riffs lead them west towards the North Sea, the thunder of garage rock stoner leads them north into the polder. The punk rock stink pushes them south towards the big cities. The free flowing good time moods drives the trio east into the openess of this land. del-Toros are the essence of all the elements of rock n roll boiled down to a thick energy laden benzine.

A fill up the tank and lets go Rock & Roll joyride. Stick out your thumb and hitch a seat along the highway.

del-Toros are going all sorts of places.

Fascinating Creatures Of The Deep (Santa Cruz-California, USA)

https://www.facebook.com/fcotd

https://www.discogs.com/artist/5997026-Fascinating-Creatures-of-the-Deep

Biography (From Facebook Page)

Fascinating Creatures Of The Deep is a Surf-influenced instrumental band from Santa Cruz, California that started in late 2009.

We're not going to tell you about all the ass-kicking bands we were in before because that's boring, sentimental and in some cases, may be incriminating: you were either there or you weren't.

That said, here are four nice guys you should get to know:

Guitarist and songwriter Adrian Cavlan has a long history in the San Jose/NorCal punk scene. His guitar style has evolved a bit over the years, but one look at an FCotD live performance will show that without any doubt, the fire remains intact.

Guitarist Gary Boodt is well known from his days as a true O.G. contest skateboarder from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s (pool rider!) and balances his professional life with lots of music and skate sessions as often as he can.

Bassist Paul Zimmerman is another fellow who’s been at it for a while, playing in a touring alt-rock band back in the ‘90s and now playing in a couple of bands doing a wide variety of great, original music.

Drummer Jeff “Stretch” Reidle is one of the ORIGINAL Surf revivalists, being a founding member of Northern California’s “Shockwaves” in 1984 and scoring a college radio hit with their song “BatWipe”. Stretch is one of the most well-known Surf drummers on the scene and his very membership in FCotD gives the band instant Surf music pedigree and credibility!

One thing to know: FCotD is one of the only mostly-original music Surf bands that can play 3 sets of instrumental music! The songs cover a huge range of dynamics and feels, which means that, believe it or not, your crowd won’t tire of the music and think “wow - we’ve heard this same song over and over” in the set.

So - we hope you enjoy our music! And if you don't... well, we'll do so for you : )

The Space Rangers (Ulm, Germany)

https://www.facebook.com/spacerangers

https://www.discogs.com/artist/4101026-The-Space-Rangers-3

Biography (From Facebook page)

From an endless summer on the shore of the Danube …

… comes the mighty sound of the Space Rangers. It is the soundtrack to every city slickers dream of sandy beaches, beautiful women and fast cars, images blending into a turquois tunnel leading directly to the heart .

The stomping beats and basslines are the solid reef on which the delayed guitar riffs break, topped with whitecaps of organ harmonies.

These sounds of days gone by are carried into the here and now by Muck (guitar) and Jochen(organ) who so marvellously devise melodies of pure yearning, while Falko(drums) and Daniel(bass) deliver awesome rhythms older than the sea.

The Space Rangers are loud, wild and reckless. They have previously performed in such well-known German acts as Fox Force 5, The Mobylettes and The Drivers. Although they have a lot to say, none of the Space Rangers ever sing.

And if Godzilla had a favourite band, it would be the Space Rangers.

Bruce McCoy: Guitar (Drummer from 60's The Nocturnes)

Bruce was originally in the 60’s surf band “the Nocturnes” as their drummer. He would sit in with us on drums from time to time and then we heard him play guitar. Wow! We asked him to hock his drums for a Stratocaster and he had been riffing with the band ever since. Living in Huntington Beach, surf city, gives him the proximity to the beach and salt air that he keeps the surf vibe even when he is mowing the lawn. But, being in an original surf band in the 60’s, we know surf music is in his blood.

Biography (From Facebook page) Translated from Italian

Ava Kant was born in 2007, almost like a joke. They immediately find themselves playing cover garage-punk, becoming the terror of pubs, trattorias, squares and bars of the plain Pontina. Their love for schitarrate fuzz and valves continues on the way to Damascus, encountering him: Dick Dale. They put on their own and build a repertoire of original Surf pieces, mixing wet-tones, Western spaghetti and pulp. Of 2008 is their first demo, followed by a 12-vinyl split ' ' with the Alwaro Negro of 2009, which leads them to shoot most of their region. In 2010, after participating in several compilations, they will be hoarded by dates on the Italian peninsula and in the UK. Also of the 2010 is their first album Highwave Star, released in 12 vinyl ' ' ' for independent label Brigadisco Records.

Aloha Sluts (Netherlands)

https://www.facebook.com/alohasluts/

https://www.discogs.com/artist/4826221-Aloha-Sluts

Biography (From Facebook page)

Aloha Sluts is an instrumental surf-trio from The Netherlands. Their music can be described as a mix between the reverb-drenched surf of Dick Dale and the fuzzy primal rocknroll of Link Wray.
All three band members have decades of experiences in rockabilly and surfbands. The band is unique in a way that all members are scattered across The Netherlands, from the west-coast (Middelburg) to the eastern border with Germany (Venlo) and one member living exactly in the middle of the country (Tilburg).

So how did the three gentlemen find each other? Unbelievable but true, they met in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA! And this little rock’n’roll fairy tale becomes even more unbelievable if you know that they met in the pool during a poolparty at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly 2014 festival, with one of the worlds best surfbands playing on the stage (Los Straitjackets).
Guitarplayer Arny (from surf-trash band Los Cheatos) found himself in a conversation with drummer John (Betty’s Doghouse, a Dutch rockabilly band) about, of course, music. After finding out they both play in bands and like surfmusic they decide to get together sometimes. It happens that bassplayer Eric (Stacy Cats) swims nearby and he too is in for a little surfproject.

The first gig is at a rockabilly festival in Middelburg later that year. With no rehearsal at all, the trio launch into a trashy set of covers and originals and soon the audience goes wild.
Januari 2015 the band starts rehearsing a new set of originals and a couple of covers (Link Wray, Dick Dale) and in february they have already 3 gigs booked! More shows follow and in later that year the band books a date in the As Loud As studio’s in Amsterdam. Together with producer Sven Lens (known for his work on the Snoop Dogg & Willie Nelson hit ‘Buy my Medicine’ and the regular producer of Dutch rock singer Anouk) they record 6 songs. Four of these songs are released on a vinyl EP by legendary rockabilly label Tombstone Records Holland (Guanabatz, Space Cadets, Necromantix) in the beginning of 2016. The cover art of the EP is made by the well known American cartoonist Shawn Dickinson. The song Brand New Surfboard gets a lot of airplay on international radio stations and stays in the top 3 for 16 weeks of Surfrock Radio (Australia).

In 2016 the band does an extensive festival tour and plays at the legendary Surfer Joe Festival in Livorno, Italy, the biggest open air surf festival in the world. Some other gigs are at Belgium’s Nr 1 alternative festival Sjock, the Summer Park Festival in Venlo and Rockin’ at the Drive in Barn, one of the biggest rockabilly festivals in Europe.
In the meantime the band releases a limited edition live album (Live at Hotrodded) and a mini album (La Puta) on CD on their own label Missing Link.

On februari 11th 2017 the band hosts the first edition of Aloha Fest, in concerthall Grenswerk, Venlo. Live recordings where made from the Aloha Sluts and Terrorsaurs gigs with plans to release a split live album. Regrettable the plans are put on hold, the record company of the Terrorsaurs where against it. But luckily Tombstone Records decides to release a sort of ‘best of… so far’ album with the complete ‘Return of’ sessions plus a selection of songs from the previous Live at Hotrod and La Puta EP and some new live recordings made at Aloha Fest. The album was released just before Christmas 2017 and followed with a short tour with the Terrorsaurs. A second edition of Aloha Fest was held in february 2018 after wich the band played some gigs with Dutch surf legends Phantom Four.
