Looks intriguing. Is that a tolex-covered all-in-one cabinet pedalboard for use on the floor?
Worse - it's a tolex-covered all-in-one amp head/Surfy Bear + effects cabinet

Well I built one. And it's only gone and bloody well worked! Sounds fantastic. I've just spent 20 mins on full drip just chugging out E, F, G muted bass strings and laughing like s maniac! It just needs boxing up now then I'll let loose in YouTube world. Thanks bjoish for some last minute advice and others for the inspiration. If I can build one, anybody can. |

JO I think the current FET reverb is pretty robust. I actually have very little in the way of heat sinking on my build and I have often times left it powered up for a week or more down in the Boatwerx and it keeps on ticking. I am enjoying the pooh out of it. It is every bit as good as any of my Fender Reverb Units. ed —Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps? |

I have posted a video of Eddie Katcher using his Surfy Bear reverb unit for a live performance here. It sounds great. The second video (the one from the Southern Surf Stomp! w/ The Ampfibians) shows Eddie's Surfy Bear at about the 18 second mark. It's on the ground to the right of Eddie, in front of the big blond amp (has Eddie mentioned that he likes big blonds?) —-Tim |

I remembered the perfect case to work as an enclosure for this at my parents' house. I have to measure it when I get ahold of it in a couple weeks but I think it should work. |

Last June bought Surfy Bear products in Italy. And soon I will begin to work on the Fet Reverb. Saludos desde México. Los Oxidados www.facebook.com/LosOxidadosWeb —Yelo My band - www.facebook.com/LosOxidadosWeb Last edited: Jul 20, 2016 14:15:10 |

Well I finally finished it (sort of). My SB project turned into a completely new surf rig - Surfy Bear and Quilter Pro Block 200 plus tuner, delay, SurfyTrem, & EP Booster (clone). I used a raw 4U rack pine cabinet from Sub-Z (bought on Ebay)routed and tolexed myself. The SufyBear and the Quilter run off of the built-in IEC corded power strip (along with a little blue LED nightlight just for the hell of it) and the pedals are powered by my DIY battery block. I'll probably re-do the face plate & grill so it doesn't look so funky. Hey it was my 1st attempt at anything like this and I knew it wouldn't come out perfect right off the bat. For the cab I bought a finished Sub-Z 15 and mounted a Quilter Steelaire speaker in it. I wanted to buy the actual Quilter extension cab but for some reason it's crazy expensive at $799. The speaker was $219 so I 'm kinda puzzled how the cab can be worth $580??? The Sub-Z cab was only $220. Anyways, the finished product is relatively light and sounds great! The head weighs 23 lbs and the cab weighs 24 lbs. |

Gilbro and Remora, Congratulations to both of you. Remora, your all-in-one solution should be produced commercially! That's a great looking rig. I'd certainly like to have one, or at least your cool enclosure. I could probably put the rest together myself, but that enclosure is beyond my skill and tool set. —-Tim |

For the most part, those are my "always on" pedals. I might tweak them a bit between songs so for me it's better to have the up off the ground. The only pedal I have on the ground is this one for switching between lead/rhythm. One side is a clean boost and the other can dial in a little OD/grit. Not your normal setup but it works for me |
