I need to call his wife and ask what the exact date was. Still think about Marty Often. It's getting easier, but still chokes me up every once in awhile. I have to say that seeing Baja Marty in the Reverb Junkies Doc. DVD, was rough the first time. But in 2nd and 3rd viewings, It really is how I would like to remember him. Yesterday was the 1 year mark, Of the passing of Baja Marty. It's still tough to deal with, But I'm handling better with time passing. I still think of him a lot. Especially at shows when a surf band is just killing it, rippin n drippin as he'd say. And also on Sundays while listening to the breakfast With the Beatles shows on the radio. June 8th is a tribute to Baja Marty. it was 2 years ago that he passed away. all the bands playing were some of Marty's favorites. 11am to 5pm 1st Banned from the beach 2nd Outerwave 3rd High Tide feat. Posted on Jun 30 2017 04:31 PM With all the hecticness of summer, life, work, surfer joe last weekend and A pier show coming up, I just realized The passing day of Marty was a few days ago. It's hard to believe it was 5 years ago. Over time it does/has gotten a little easier to deal with. But around Xmas time I happened to drive by the apartments he used to live in, and it all came back.
