Is the PayPal account still open for donations?

let me ask Sean,
Tiki Tena's boyfriend.

I was thinking today that Marty's B-day would be this month.
I need to call his wife and ask what the exact date was.

Still think about Marty Often.
It's getting easier, but still chokes me up every once in awhile.

I have to say that seeing Baja Marty in the Reverb Junkies Doc. DVD,
was rough the first time. But in 2nd and 3rd viewings,
It really is how I would like to remember him.
At shows, stoked, beer in hand, and loving life.

Cheers Marty

I knew that it was coming up,
But I'm bummed I missed the date.

Yesterday was the 1 year mark,
Of the passing of Baja Marty.

It's still tough to deal with,
But I'm handling better with time passing.

I still think of him a lot.
Especially at shows when a surf band is just
killing it, rippin n drippin as he'd say.
And also on Sundays while listening to the breakfast
With the Beatles shows on the radio.

Still miss ya Brotha
Wish ya were here.

Hey, Jeff, today I was recovering data from an old hard drive and came across a picture of you and Marty. It's from The Torquays CD release party in April of 2002:

If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

Wow cool!
Thanks for posting that.

The show at the Huntington beach pier, this Sun.
June 8th is a tribute to Baja Marty.
it was 2 years ago that he passed away.
all the bands playing were some of Marty's favorites.

11am to 5pm
1st Banned from the beach
2nd Outerwave
3rd High Tide feat. John Blair
4th The Volcanics
5th Slacktone

hope to see many surf fans n friends of Marty there.

Jeff, that's a great lineup. I didn't know Marty but I understand his passion for life. I hope you all have a great day free from sadness but filled with joy from those that we are fortunate enough to share our lives with.

I miss that guy so much! I'm gonna play for him till my fingers bleed this Sunday. RIP my friend. See you soon enough................

Be careful following the masses. Sometimes the "M" is silent...........................

Only in a community like this can I so deeply feel the loss of people I've never met. I'll raise a glass to Marty from here.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Thanks Guys,
I'm hoping to keep it together this Sun.
and not get to emotional.
this is meant to be a joyus remembrance
of Baja Marty, and his Love of Surf Music.

Jeff, I hope to see pictures of you bowing down to the reverb tanks haha!

Been thinking of Marty a lot recently.
I showed the Reverb Junkies DVD to my girlfriend Dorthy.
and the Marty clips just floored me again.
I realized that I missed his b-day last month.
I think he would have been 60.

came across this photo yesterday sure do miss this guy Baja for ever

Bump for the photo of the day.
Marty's birthday was around this time of year.

With all the hecticness of summer, life, work, surfer joe last weekend and
A pier show coming up, I just realized The passing day of Marty was a few days ago.
It's hard to believe it was 5 years ago. Over time it does/has gotten a little easier to deal with. But around Xmas time I happened to drive by the apartments he used to live in, and it all came back.
Sometimes when at a really good show, I'll look over at Doug from Reno
Nevada and we'll both say "wish Marty was here"

Jeff, most of us that have lost a really good friend understand what you feel. You have my sympathies for that.

Thank you!

Bump, for the pic of the day
