I'm in the same boat. Email confirmation but nothing on my account showing my order.
i emailed my salesguy and he said since he placed the order manually, it won't appear on the website.

no problemo. I asked him when I ordered if they would email a tracking # when it shipped. He said it is "supposed" to be emailed, but doesn't always get sent.

Hi guys,
I got my surf green Jaguar today. I am a Strat player, but it sounds pretty darn good to me. I had to adjust the intonation and that was it. Neck feels pretty good. 9 1/2 inch radius fretboard I am pretty sure. Nice finish. But I am guessing poly on the body. Looks to be a pretty heavy finish. Played in for a couple hours. No issues. Time will tell how sturdy it is. But out of the box it looks nice.
Talk to you later,

I'm going nuts waiting to get my Mustang. It looks like a handful of shops have gotten some of them but it doesn't look like the big retailers have.

I've never had a Jag, so I'm eager to try one of these VM Squiers, because that's all I can justify. It'll just be a toy to fool around with by myself. Hope those of you who are buying them will continue to post your impressions. I'm holding out for Oly White, which is the only color I haven't seen on eBay yet. Mahalo!

If I had the extra cash, I would get the surf green Jag. I always thought that was "the" color for the Jaguar. But, I already have a Jag and can't justify getting another one even at that price. I still will have a tough challenge in not getting one of the Jazzmasters. My Partsmaster is my favorite guitar, but I'd like to have a legit one

Can anyone who bought the VM Jag give a guesstimate of it's weight? I've found that basswood guitars can vary wildly, even among the exact same model

Fender was smart to offer some custom colors here - surf green and sonic blue. I think a lot of people are getting sick of the same white/black/sunburst finishes all the time.

I received a message this afternoon from Sam Ash saying my jag had shipped! By this time next week, maybe I'll have some news.

Hello,
Mine weights just slightly less than my MIM 50s reissue Strat. It was surprisingly heavy.

Hello again,
I had wondered about that myself. I worked on a newer Squier Bullet. That guitar wss very light weight. I have a Fender Japan Strat with a basswood body that is fairly light (but nowhere as light as that Bullet). I was really surprised at how hefty the new Squier VM Jaguar felt.
I just held a Fender American Standard Stratocaster in one hand and the Squier VM Jaguar in the other. They felt the same weight. I could not sense either being heaveir than the other.

Just a quick question: Is the Squier Jaguar's body "thickness" the same as the American ones ? (I know the Strats are a bit "thinner" by about 1/4'...).

The only Strats that are thinner (AFAIK) are the cheap Bullets and Affinity models

Sunburst Jaguar ordered from Thomann, impossible not to get one! As I have never before owned a Jag before I wonder from those of you who might know if a buzz stop is a good investment?

Hello,
My Squier Jaguar measures about 1 5/8 inches. I don't have an American Jaguar to compare that to. 1 5/8 inches is thinner than an American Standard Stratocaster and the same thickness as a Mighty Mite licensed by Fender Strat body.

Hello all,
Has anyone put heavier strings on the Squier VM Jaguar yet? I am thinking about 12s. Just wondered if there will be any issues with heavier strings on a Squier made guitar?
What makes me wonder is that I tried to put 13s on a Squier Bullet Strat a while back. It would not handle those.

I've got 12s on my Squier Jag. It's a conversion from the old hard tail version into one with a Bigsby like trem. No problem with 12s. Could probably handle 13s just fine too.
Of course I don't know what the spring is like on the new models.

The Fedex man just delivered mine about 30 minutes ago. I've unpacked, inspected, tuned and made some noise. There was a tshirt in the box also. I placed the order on the afternoon of the 6th. For something not in stock, I'm happy with the service. The sale price was great. Merry Christmas to me!
