It all starts at noon. Make a splash in the back yard of The VORTEX for a celebration with over 30 local artist / entrepreneurs, as well as 10 Texas Surf Rock Bands!

This is a FREE show for all ages! It's all part of the uniquely Austin relaxed outdoor shopping experience of local artisans known as The East Austin Handmade Arts Market at The Vortex, which features creations in a wide variety of mediums, all handmade and appropriate for all ages!
The Butterfly Bar Austin will provide a pipeline of fine beverages all day!
The first 50 people to arrive will get a gift certificate for free ice cream, redeemable at any Amy's Ice Creams location!
Austin's own Deep Eddy Records will also be on hand with a selection of Surftastic CDs for you to dive into!
There is lots of convenient parking, it is on an easy bus route, and pets are also welcome!
Hang until 7:30, then ride it on out to the Nomad Bar. Starting at 9:00pm SXSE continues with Second Saturday Surf...

We are excited to announce that we will be opening for The Beach Boys at The Good Life Festival in San Tan Valley on March 28th! We are thrilled to have been invited to play this show!
We are also currently working on our follow up to 2013's Drove My Car to Heaven E.P. with our next album. It should be ready by the show. Thanks for the continued support!!!!

The 427's will be playing The Ship & Anchor in Calgary, AB, Canada, on Feb. 25 with their surf music and rockabilly pals Peter & the Wolves and The Hi-Strung Downers. This is one not to be missed; they'll be debuting several songs from their upcoming full-length album! Stay classy surf musicians!
My band is playing at Suzy's in Hermosa Beach, Jan 15, from 8 to 11. It's our first show and we're playing 3 sets (from 8 to 11), so guaranteed I'll screw up a time or two (or several). Come watch the train wreck. Our set list is all surf/instro standards. Show is free and we are the worst named surf band in So. Cal: Red Surf

"Join The Brooklynite as they give the gift of the islands with their Tiki Yuletide Party! The crew at BK wants to bring the warmth of the Hawaiian islands to San Antonio for their last big bash of 2014. The team has arranged for the smooth surf and garage sounds of King Pelican to permeate the air as they craft fruity, boozy libations with spirits like Monkey Shoulder, Sailor Jerry, Ancho Reyes, Milagro, and Flor de Caña rums. One of SAs newest food trucks, LocaVore, will be offering a super special tiki menu that will focus on a whole Kahula pig. Accompanying the fine swine will be sides like pineapple kimchee, wasabi calamari, purple potato salad, and island mac and cheese. As always, Tiki Tuesday means guests are encouraged to don their tikiest of tiki garb. This is sure to be a wicked rad event, with food, music and garnish-heavy tiki cocktails to celebrate the season in a unique and fun way."
