I am pleased to announce the SurfGuitar101 2012 MP3 Compilation! Our 8th one! Just like before, this is a way for members to share music, recording tips, and to just have fun. The main emphasis is fun, so please send in an entry no matter what your skill level is. Here are the rules:
I have created an Official 2012 MP3 Compilation Forum Thread. Please use that thread to discuss the compilation and to get information on how to submit an mp3. Please use that thread if you'd like to find a fellow member to work with on the project. With the magic of digital recording and the internet, remote collaborations are possible. Make your own virtual surf band! Let the comp begin!

The new documentary "Reverb Junkies" screened for the very first time ever last month at the BBC Music Video Fest in Norfolk England. From the BBC:
This film is all about passion - a love of Surf Music. Made on the shores of California and sent direct to our Festival for a first ever showing. A music phenomenon that has travelled the world, but keeps true to its Californian 60s surf roots.
As many of you know, Eddie Bertrand has terminal cancer has a week or perhaps 2 weeks at best left with us. Surf and Twang with The Nematoads! We will be performing at the 1st Annual Seabrook Festival of the Arts in Seabrook, Texas. Great way to support local artists and so close to the beach! Festival activities include: Juried fine artists in every media, a kids art activity tent, live music (hint, hint), food, drink and local cuisine.
