I received my Double Crown order on Tuesday. I got the Tomorrowmen CD, the Falcons CD, the Kill Baby Kill CD, and a couple of 7" Goofin' releases.

I haven't had a chance to sesh the vinyl yet, but have been enjoying the hell out of the CDs.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Bless you! Big Razz

Listening to the Cocktail Preachers album I picked up on Saturday. Nice clean surfy sound. Great tones. Good vibe. Like the slide guitar. I dig Smile

All the performances at the SG101 convention. Not as good as being there, though. Thanks to Unsteady Freddie for filming everything. Of the ones I've seen so far, there are so many memorable performances; The Knights doing Bulldog was a trip back in time, The Blue Demons doing Link Wray's Jack the Ripper makes me want to learn it, David Arnson showing everyone that mistakes happen (Baja) and can be lots of fun anyway, and Meshugga Beach Party's Journey to the Stars was a jaw-dropping stand-out performance. The others were lots of fun too. But John Blair and the rest of the jammers just killed it with Force of Gravity.

EDIT. Just saw The Deadbeats. Their CD should arrive soon. Terrific!

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Thanks Josheboy. I've been listening to Tequila Worms & Das Razorblades CD I pickup up. Really dig 'em too. I still haven't had a chance to listen to everything I got yet from SG101, hopefully sometime this weekend as try to recover.

Just spinning the Neatbeats Global Twist ep, Jackie & the Cedrics Tall Dark Stranger ep & the Beechwoods 45rpm.

"Dark Side of the Beach" by Vegas Beach. Been too long since I last heard this disc.

Right now, ESPN-Classics is showing Endless Summer. It just started.

This is the best version of this song I've ever heard. If any of you Eleki dudes can point me in the direction of this album that's be awesome. I have to have this.

Hot Summer Comes Again!
Let's Go Beach! Let's Go Beach!

It's on Yuzo Kayama's self-titled album, and it's also on the Black Sand Beach collection of his, which is usually in stock at Amazon Japan.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Anybody ever tell you that you're the best?

past couple weeks:

the Tiki Tones "the leisure experiment"
Jon Nightriders "Surf Beat '80"
Outerwave cd
Cars "Move like this"
Mermen "songs of the cows"
tiki tones "idol pleasures"
Rolling Stones "Exile on Main St" remaster
Monkees "Head" box, with a 20 minute plus rehearsal of them reciting
the "Ditty Diego war chant" , co-written by Jack Nicholson. After so many attempts , Mike says the f word.

Managed to find a copy of Bobby Fuller's "Never to be Forgotten" 3 cd set, with "our favorite martian" buried in the middle of disc 1.

I'm watching Amadeus. Hell of a film.
