weirdcountry Joined: Aug 15, 2011 Posts: 1	Posted on Aug 17 2011 12:10 AM hi! i'm a new member and a long time lurker. was just wondering what a 1968 sg-2a in good condition is worth these days. all stock, save for a couple of saddle screws. original knobs are still with me, but they're missing the silver caps so i replaced them with these teisco witch hat knobs for the photo. some buckle rash on the back, and a couple of dings. also, i don't have a case for it, if that factors in the pricing, hehe. thanks! I've seen people TRYING to sell those on ebay for $1200-$1400, but I'm thinking they're more in the $800 range myself. Phostenix Joined: Aug 15, 2010 Posts: 13 Phoenix, AZ	Posted on Sep 05 2011 11:12 PM They aren't high output pickups, though. Either the magnets aren't as strong as they originally were or Yamaha used smaller pickup wire that has a higher DC resistance. They make great microphones, too. Top

I have got too much guitars and amps and I have bought a Fender Vibroverb 63 RI and a `61 Showman and a Tone King Continental amp the last months... I am also selling the Tone King amp. (i had a buyer for it, but he flaked and I've decided to keep it.) image and the reason i was going to sell the EGV, was that I found this on the local CL Friday. It fits well, although i put a guitar rag under the neck to keep the point of the headstock from touching the case. Fits otherwise. I have also used this case for my Jazzmaster, but it's a squeeze widthwise. image Top

I had an opportunity to buy an SGV800 (red) a short while back but the only way to swing it would've been to sell my black SGV-300...I decided I just couldn't part with it. It's been so long since I had my 800 I don't think I can tell you how it'll sound different from an 800...I seem to remember it having more punch, but I also need to do something to raise the pups on my 300 a bit. ludobag Joined: Jun 05, 2010 Posts: 620 at south of	Posted on Jun 13 2012 12:31 PM just saw one 800 near my home yesterday and i have cracked cause i will not find one again then I'm a guy who prefers to have remorse than regrets i like both the 800 is like a news guitar the guy who have have it from 5 or 6 years and really not play it cause is playing bass (the fret are really good ,more better than the 300 who have play a lot) only a little ding on the arm cut and i have to set up cause the neck have too much bow (and it is not easy on this thing the key don't have room to turn i have to made some turn and i think if i put gauge more heavier i must put washer cause i am not far from the end of the thread of the truss rod,become very hard to turn at the end but when i beguin it was very loosen i think she doesn't have been set till the day he buy it ) now i must beguin to play with really low gauge all are mount in 9 42 and i will change it later ,it is boring to set up all the time ,no time to play Last edited: Jun 13, 2012 12:32:36 Top
