I received my sg-3c today, it's now at the guitar repair man to put the neck back on and to get it set up.
So when I receive it I will make some pictures, maybe I will even do a photoshoot with my 3 yamaha's !

Isn't the second seller a member here?
I think he is - and he's kind of a tool.

Well I got a (project) sg-2a on the bay for 325 pounds, all the paint is stripped and I want to have it repainted asap.
Any suggestions which colour I should have it repainted in ?
I was thinking about yellow, salmon or lpb (or white pearl something)

Hey thanks, surfin_bird! Some people seem to dig those, I guess I should make another one with the new SGV700, it's been months since I've done one. Yeah, I was thinking the same glitter color as Dave's, I'm pretty sure he got his done at a place called the Guitar Mill. If you plan to do it yourself, I hear people raving about the quality from meadowbrookinventions.com pretty often, and houseofkolor.com also seems to be well-liked too. I also think Yammy's look great in orange too, if it's hard to source coke bottle.

Ahh cool a sgv700, how is it compared to a 300 ?
I think orange is cool but I already have a orange sg-3c and since I decided that this is my last guitar before I sell one, I want an awesome colour !
At first I thought it was to difficult to have it in coke bottle, but the hunt for the paint give it two times the pleasure right

It's an great find... I don't know how it ended up in the US, but I feel pretty lucky to have it:

It is basically a 300 with an 800 neck, it plays and sounds great!

That sounds like the perfect Yamaha. The SGV300 pickups are great, but I sometimes wish my 300 could have the angled headstock of the 800.

I love the 800 neck too... nothing's wrong with the 300's, but looks-wise it's like going from a MIM to a MIA Fender IMO. The only difference is that those aren't Sperzels; not a deal breaker at all, just odd their top of the line triple-Ferrite model doesn't have em.

I've received my sg-2a last evening !!!
Great guitar, I even dare to say it's one of the best things I'd ever played.
I need to fix some little things like the tremolo but I am already in love with it.

YeeaaahhH!!!! Congratulations!!! Great guitar the SG2A!!! I've got the same one. All original with all parts, even the trem arm. In sunburst unfortunately. I am not a fan of boring sunburst... but I couldn't resist for 380 Euros for it, haha! And, yes, this SG2A is a very nice sporty feeling Yamaha. I don`t know why but I like it much more than the SG3A. In fact I don't need 3 pickups.
So you can give it a paintjob in your dream color!!!
I like creamwhite or sonic blue on most guitars. With matching head of course!
Alright, have fun!!!
— Twang cheers!

Thanks Matt! The gold has really grown on my too, and I'm not really a gold person either. Surfin_bird, I would almost say that leaving it without the paint might also be a good option, I actually think it looks great that way, they seemed to have done a good job stripping it.
