More Ventures:
I think I now got more or less the albums I want by the Ventures (about a dozen or so). — |

Diamondheads - Diamond Head at Dusk. Quality modern surf. Good musicianship and recording quality. Cool tunes. Their first CD was outstanding and this one doesn't disappoint at all. "Madagascar Intrigue" is my current favorite on the CD. I wished these guys would make an appearance in the Midwest so I could check 'em out live. Also CD baby delivered it within 3 days of ordering. Can't beat that. |

I just got the 2 Richie Allen CDs in the mail today, and have spun them 2 times each. The sound of the discs is very cool. If I remember correctly, he played directly into the board, with no amp? The drums sounds are really nice, especially on the first CD. Rev —Canadian Surf |

I really like Lost Legends 4. The Avengers VI tracks alone make it worth the money, in my opinion. |

Is the Verb cd available? if you can have one ready by the Pilgrims show in Seatle I'll buy one from you there, Jake. Jeff(bigtikidude) —Jeff(bigtikidude) |

I just sent John a burned copy since he has been a good myspace fan of The 'Verb. We won't have any before the Pilgrims show. Which sucks. We need to get this record out ASAP. Anybody want to sign us? |

No way. If anything, they've been played the same. Actually I'm listening to your CD right now. Looks like The 'Verb is out in front! I just bought Locked and Loaded by The Penetrators. |

I've noticed a common theme here. Almost all the CD listed are either first wave or 90's releases. Anyone purchasing CD by anything originally releases in the last few years? |

I ordered the Man or Astroman DVD, but it hasn't arrived yet. Some other people have posted some fairly recent stuff: Kahuna Kawentzmann, Madeira, Rat Holic, Meshugga Beach Party, etc. -Warren —That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it. |

I am anxiously awaiting The Diamondheads new CD. Other than that, in the last year, I got the new Ghastly Ones, PDM's Year of the Rooster, The Whys CD, The All-Nighters (which isn't 100% surf, but good instro), The new Kilaueas, and others I'm sure I've forgotten -- I think it boils down to the fact that discs seem to come out in waves. I know there are a few new CDs that I'm eagerly waiting to get my hands on. ~B~ |
