Do we need some of those silly "My name is..." name tags and put our usernames on them? Very Happy
Something like that would be a big help, especially since it is a convention, it is standard practice.
How about a laminated card that hangs around the neck? Too rock'n'roll?
I was thinking about that, but whos gonna pay for them?
I just spent 1100.00 bucks on my truck for repairs.
I'm tapped out.

I like Ferenc's idea. I found lanyards for 38¢ and pockets for 33¢. The name tag could be printed at home (or work) . Very affordable, I'll chip in.
Could print this (also available in Strat and Mosrite to show your preference) and leave space for the name below:

someone simply buy a roll of paper-tape (like painter's masking tape?) and a big felt pen like the one's you make playlists with. Put it at the door. $5 total.
even if you do the card thing people are going to forget. name tags can make all the difference. Ive never been anywhere where I regretted they had them - been to numerous places where I regretted they didnt.
Just make sure yáll dont go start playing the IRC chat screenname game and change your name every 5 minutes

this is a little less than a month away.
I wish some of the people that are goin' but haven't chimed in yet would do so now.
this is going to be a awesome event, and if it goes well, and is well atended than I will do more.
but if its a lot of work for 5 to 10 people not from So. Cal. to show up,.
then its not really worth it.

I'll be at Hermosa for sure with a couple of other people. Sounds like a really great event. And what was that about Eddie Bertrand and the Ghastly Ones? Really???

If Garret of the Ghastly Ones can make it,
they will be playing a song together.

We need to get a concise write up of this event to post as a news story on the front page. And Lorenzo would like to post it also on surferjoe. Anyone want to take a stab at it? Or should I? It would be good to have so we can send it around via email, etc. And include the poster(s).
We should probably get on this for the front page. ;)
Jeff do you want to take a stab at this or should I? We should also probably mention Friday night in SD. Email me.

Ran into Dave of the Ghastly ones at a show in glendale, and he said that more than likely Garret will make it, but that Norman was pretty upset with him not wanting to commit to playing.

Man I wish I could go. But the drive is way too far, and I cannot afford the gas to get there. Flying is out of the question for me. I hope there will be a lot of pictures posted from it. Maybe next year..

I'm only just now figuring out my means of getting down there... Anyone from the bay area want to carpool? I'll chip in for gas and/or drive!

Haha... no. I've never discussed transportation with anyone. I can make it down regardless, I just think it might be easier if I worked something out with someone else. I might even come down with some friends of mine, in which case Jeff I wouldn't want to intrude upon your place. I'll keep you posted.

remember to anyone that is in a band and has merch, Cds t shirts, etc.
you are welcome to come and sell your stuff at the swap meet portion of the day. Noon to 2 pm.
if you are a fan and have have cds lp's or anything you want to get rid of, your more than welcome to set up a table, if you have a good amount that is.
say 10 or more,
Kristena and I will prob be selling some of our collections.
if you have any gear,
amps, guitars, pedals, tanks, etc.
this is all welcome too.
basically if you wanna get rid of it, and its surf music, or instrument related.
bring it. and try to sell it.
there will be surf labels there,
and Dario Gomez will have his amps and Reverb tank there.
and many other cool items and Vendors to soon be announced.
