man, I am sitting here, looking out the window in Manhattan, wishing so so so bad it was Manhattan Beach!!
it's killing me that I am not out there partying it up with all you surf music freaks!!
but in a way it's a good thing I stayed behind in NYC (almost, this close, booked flights this past Tuesday)
besides my SURF-ROCK SHINDIG tomorrow night, it turns out I might be dealing with either a kidney stone flare-up or something digestive/gastro (I will stop there for fear of T-M-I); had some tests yesterday, more scheduled for next week; it's definitely dragging me a great deal sorry to say
but I will be with all of you in spirit
have fun, that's the key -- it seems inevitable!!

Thanks so much to everybody that came, participating, and helped in doing this show,event.
it was alot of work, and I was very stressed, but it was worth it.

is there a working thread for the 2009 Convention?
I am seriously considering attending....
also what else is going on that weekend, in particular FRIDAY JULY 31 (also interested in THURSDAY JULY 30) and SUNDAY AUGUST 2 ??
if any early info is available, can someone post it?
if it is NOT set in stone but probable, can someone write me off-line and I will be sworn to secrecy?

its in the works.
there will be a Fri show in San Diego,
and probably a Fri show in Santa Barbara.
Sat is SG101 event, maybe a after party at another place with a few bands.
very close to sg101 event venue.
and Sun will be a HB pier show.
sorry nothing is in stone.
I hope to post the full line ups by the end of Jan.

On a recent swing to California I went to see THE CADILLAC ANGELS at EL CAPITAN CANYON
That place was a trip, on so many levels
I had a lot of fun that night
Anyone else been to the outdoor shows there?

it was quite an 'unsteady' scene, let me tell you
parents trying to teach their kids to dance to rock n roll, twang, surf; embarassing themselves and clueless...
when the band saw me, they broke into PIPELINE which I thought was very sweet and personal
