had a passing thought on my way to work at my 'real job' this morning suddenly had a flash: 'Man, how cool would it be to hear Carlos Santana play surf guitar?' {hey if he has, I haven't heard him, so forgive me for not knowing that} So I waited until I get off work and thought I'd post this topic.... Dick Dale But seriously.... I'd really like to hear some jazz guys rip it up, like Tal Farlow (thanks Ru for the reminder), Pat Martino, Barney Kessel, or fellas like that -- I'd be really interested to hear those quick fingers drenched in reverb instead of cranking out the warm jazzy tones. ~B~ |
