Really nice video, Jeff! I got an email that my guitar is ready to ship - looking forward to it! (I asked them to put 12s on it leaving the factory - let's see how it does with those babies on there!)

Seriously, congrats Ivan.
Thanks, Wes! I look forward to checking out something a bit different!
I have to admit the Foam Green version looks better in the flesh vs. the early photo-shopped projection. One of my favorite colors. Enjoy!

Yeah! I've wanted a guitar in that color for ages, but somehow it never worked out. Finally!

Ooh, the black looks really cool!
First black one I've seen besides the pictures online.
Congrats on being the first here to receive one and thank you for your support. Hope you dig it!

Fit and finish, spot on, neck is bolt on and pocket is tight, fret ends finished well, single ply scratch plate, and nice color choice on pickup bezels ivory white not cream, roller bridge. thin neck plays fast. Tone is bright loud and clear, single coil?! a bit of noise so they must not be HB.
Happy as a clam am I

This is SUCH A FUN GUITAR!!! I actually like it even more than I expected! It seems very well made, haven't noticed any issues in the finish, fit, etc., as Greg points out above. Once I stretched out the strings it seems to stay in tune pretty well, though I should try Jeff's trick of running a round-wound string through the nut slots multiple times to smooth them out. The neck at first seemed just a bit cramped, due to the slightly shorter scale than I'm used to, and possibly also slightly narrower nut (I haven't measured it, I could be wrong), but I adjusted pretty quickly. The action is very low and the neck is highly playable. The pickups sound REALLY nice through my DRRI! Beautiful full neck sound, nice twangy-but-full bridge sound. The trem seems to work quite well, too.
And I'm so happy with the surf green color! It seems more like the "Foam Green" Fender color rather than the standard Surf Green, and I had wanted a Strat in Foam Green for a long time, but they're pretty rare. Now I've got a Senn in this color - and the guitar just looks so - PLAYFUL! The overall design with that color just screams "BEACH!" to me, brings a big smile to my face when I play it! I love looking down and seeing it, too!
The few issues I have noticed so far:
1. the low E-string is lower than the rest of the strings and is buzzing fairly badly. I'll have to jack up the bridge on the bass side a bit.
2. The nut slots don't seem to be cut in the most even way - some strings seem a bit lower than others.
3. the bridge pickup or pickup cover is pretty microphonic and if you just touch it with the pick it clicks quite loudly through the amp. Not a huge deal as the pick naturally falls in between the pickups, but if you're going for the Duane Eddy neck-pickup/pick close to the bridge thing, it can get 'clicky' fast, especially given that there's not much clearance between the pickup cover and the strings.
4. This is purely a taste thing and it's definitely not a big deal, but I would have preferred that the back of the neck was left natural rather than finished in the green color.
Anyway, after a few hours I really love this guitar, and am VERY happy I got it! Well done, Jeff and Eastwood!! Oh, BTW, BIG kudos for the knobs! I love them! Such a cool design! Very playable but also look really cool. (I know, it's weird to get excited about knobs, but they really made an impression on me!)
I look forward to getting to know the guitar better!

Ivan, beautiful Foam Green (definitely Foam Green). That's what she's supposed to look like, now you're talking!
Like the box; Eastwood is building custom trap guns now?
Got my "SHIPPED" notice so won't be long.

Ivan, I'm guessing you requested fat strings setup when you ordered?
43mm nut width my strats are 44-45mm. The 25' scale sealed the deal on the purchase of this guitar, I have played Gibsons for a long time and Tele and Strat scale is, well a stretch. I've adapted but home is an SG or Melody Maker.
Oh Big thanks to Jeff for birthing tis beast. Eager to see the Mod III...

Here's the video I took a bit ago of me playing my new Eastwood Senn, posted on FB. (For whatever reason, the videos don't upload in HD to FB, so it's a bit grainy. Maybe I'll upload it to YouTube, it'll be in HD there.)
Enjoy!

Well I'm sure glad you guys are digging these!
A little relieved as well. Whenever you partner with a company or a collaborator there will be compromises. Not in a negative sense but in order for both parties to do what they do and come out satisfied compromise will always be a factor.
While my experience building goes back much farther, I've been building guitars with my name and logo on them for over thirteen years and in that time EVERY guitar has been set up by me and has to meet my own very critical demands. When another company builds a version of your design and it sells in higher numbers this is not an option and while I have faith in Eastwood it was a little hard to "let go".
I am happy to see that the Eastwood Model Ones are arriving very playable and hopefully to my spec I sent them but I would still encourage a good set-up from your favorite local tech. As we all know they can really make a guitar "come alive" for the player and also make it even more reliable.
I really appreciate your reports and impressions. It helps to know what's going on out in the world of the customer.
Ivan, yes, the nut width on the production version is a little narrower than spec'd, more like a vintage, 50's Fender and the fingerboard radius is a little flatter than spec'd. This could be why your E string is low (or the nut) due to the bridge radius being rounder than the fretboard. One option to remedy is to replace the roller bridge with a standard Gotoh tuneomatic (which drops right on the existing posts) and have a tech cut the slots on the new bridge to match the fretboard. FWIW, I'll probably do that on mine (when I get it, LOL)
Caddady, The pickups are single coil, although yes, they look like a humbucker and are microphonic which is one of the reasons I chose them believe it or not!
One of the defining characteristics of many, great sounding vintage pickups is that they are somewhat microphonic and really add personality to the sound, extra overtones, enhanced sustain and feedback at times. The drawback is, as Ivan stated is that they can be noisy when hit with a pick.
I am blown away by you all, that have supported this project and now that some of you have the guitars in hand are enjoying them so much!
Ivan, who'd have thought that you, who has bonded so well with and created a name/legend on the Stratocaster would end up enjoying this Model One so much? Granted, I'm not expecting it to replace anything but I'm thrilled that it's being received so well.
We're (my wife and business partner) are really enjoying these owner pictures so please if you will, keep them coming! Can we use some of them for social media?
We are, very humbly, thankful!
Cheers,
Jeff
and oh, a Red one came by the shop yesterday with one of my customers.
Yowza!

Killer video Ivan! Guitar looks and sounds beautiful, now only if you could learn how to play the darn thing . Mine should arrive tomorrow and the anticipation is killing me.
cadaddy, I don't generally care for black guitars but the picture of yours is almost making me wish I had gone with a different color.
