As many of you know, my small guitar company has teamed up with Eastwood and Airline guitars to create a more affordable and more available version of my Model One guitar.
The campaign began yesterday and pre-orders will only be taken for a month.
If and only if the guitar gets a lot of orders it will become a regular production instrument, otherwise this window will most likely be the only chance to get your hands on one of these at such an affordable price, our hand built versions are almost four times the price.
The Eastwood version is $679.00. There is a $150.00 deposit and the balance is due when manufacturing is done in early September.
You can find information and order here: http://eastwoodcustoms.com/projects/jeff-senn-model-one-by-ewcs/
You can find previous Surf Guitar 101 discussion here: https://surfguitar101.com/forums/topic/27645/
I don't usually like to bring my business into SG101 discussions or posts but I think this is a slightly unique occurrence and I'm quite proud of the design of our Model One.
Thanks for taking a look,
Jeff

Well done Jeff! Looks like I'll be ordering as soon as I can unload a few things. Didn't think I'd ever be doing this again, but just when I thought I was done buying guitars....

I somehow missed the detail that this is a guitar you made, Jeff. Very nice design! Congrats on getting it produced.

Thanks Bill and Art!
Nokie,
Yes, this is an Eastwood adaptation of our original design, hand built guitar we introduced last year after a development and testing period of a few years. This is our hand built version, a vibrato equipped version will be released in a month or two.

Sure is dreamy. Yes, I want one! A lot. More than that, truly. My only hopes are that Eastwood extend the sale past Christmas, or the initial sales numbers put it into regular production. I hope it's the huge hit it deserves to be.

Oh boy, that's a great price! Is this guitar light weight just as like a Danelectro U2 model?

Wow, thanks so much for the support!
I really appreciate that.
After some discussion with Mike from Eastwood and since almost all of Eastwood's offerings are crowdfunded these days I don't think it's likely to become a full time available production instrument. Just this limited, by order pledge build but I'm pretty sure Black is now an available color option.
Cheers,
Jeff

I'm leaning towards black if it does become available, it looks killer.

Just a reminder to anyone following this thread...
This is the last week for the Eastwood campaign so if you know anyone interested please pass that information along.
Thanks again for your support
Cheers,
Jeff

Jeff - I just pulled the trigger on one. Looking forward to playing with it onstage. We have a gig September 24th at the Endless Summer Winery in Ft. Pierce. Hopefully I'll have it to debut. - Frank

Frank,
That's so cool!
Thanks so much for the support.
My band mate Kiwamu and I have been digging the prototype. Sadly it goes back to Eastwood when the campaign ends this week so I'll be waiting with everyone else for mine. Keeps it fair and fun though, right?
What color did or will you pick?
I think (hope) they will hit the goal to build one of the greens.
A heartfelt thank you once again.
5 days left!
It's been a busy campaign, creating video demos, ads, but man, what an interesting trip.
Cheers,
Jeff

Does anyone get to buy the prototype when they're done with it? And congratulations, again! Now at 355%!!!!!

Noel,
Thanks for the congrats.
Mike from Eastwood will keep the prototype for himself and for reference so it won't be for sale unfortunately.
Cheers,
Jeff

Great creation, Jeff, congrats!
Here's a color suggestion. Supposed to sparkle, a bit.
