For the final tallying, how are the counts going to be dealt with for people who didn't number/rank/prioritize and for those who put more than ten songs in?

There are two important rules that I keep in mind:................

Cool Neils, rules understood. The 2 spares are the bottom of the list anyway. Just couldn't make myself not list them. Big Grin

Fender IV sir,

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I see a few people listing High Wall by the Debonaires in these lists - I wonder if people are aware that it's actually a cover of the Wailers '59 b-side to Tall Cool One. Anyway, here's the original. Spoooookkkkyyyyy! (And for the heck of it, I also attached my favorite cover of this song, by the Bambi Molesters.)

No, The Fender V were 25% better - and their amps went up to 11!

Los Fantasticos

Wow, thanks for sharing that Ivan!
I somehow never knew that Wailers version.
The Bambi Molesters version is my favourite track on Intensity.
Never knew it was a cover.
The original is just as mezmerising.
My Top 10 for next year has just changed. WOW.

When I first heard the Debonaires version on the Surf Nuggets comp, it took me by surprise--that weird feeling of familiarity..."but where"? I remembered it was the Bambi Molesters and went to the CD to look at the credits expecting to see the Debonaires. Wow indeed. I know how Niels feels.

I'm assuming the Debonaires did write that middle section, which I think adds so much, and I like the descending riff with the minor tonality better on the cover version..more emphatic and effective to my guitar-centric tastes.

Hello. You're from "Diabolico Coupé"? Saw you in Livorno this summer, great gig you played there! Nice to meet you here. It's your first post - Welcome!

Old & returning to the guitar piece of the bucket-list. Thanks for this site (which is an awesome collection of folks). I'd have never found out that I need to put CDs by The Bambi Molesters on my Christmas hint list. Wife won't bite probably, but the daughter will get it completely. They are an interesting band. Thanks all. (and some lists, eh?)
