The Fabulous Blue Wabbits CD Release

Wabbit Wanch Studios Announces the New Album Instwoh-Mentals Vol. 1 from The Fabulous Blue Wabbits

CD_Release

Vancouver, British Columbia, CanadaWabbit Wanch Studios is pleased to announce the release of the debut album from The Fabulous Blue Wabbits, Instwoh-Mentals Volume 1, available from the Apple iTunes Store and other online music services on April 18, 2014.

Instwoh-Mentals Volume 1 is a studio album of 16 originals songs in the electric guitar-oriented, instrumental style made popular during the early 1960’s by groups such as The Shadows in Europe and The Ventures in North America. This musical style is a lighter, more melodic precursor to the more driven “surf music” that later dominated the airwaves of Southern California with groups such as Dick Dale and the Deltones. On this album, The Fabulous Blue Wabbits present the full spectrum of the 1960’s instrumental style from European sophistication to Southern Californian “sun and fun”.

Forty-five years after the original Blue Diamonds made their appearance on the Club 6 television program, the two remaining band members, Mel Patrick (guitars) and Fred Lichota (bass guitar), reformed in 2006 as The Fabulous Blue Wabbits. They no longer perform live, but continue to write and record 1960’s-style instrumental music. Their song “California Longboard” was featured on “A Day At The Beach” on Radio Station KCS in San Diego, California.

Instwoh-Mentals Volume 1 is available now from the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon MP3, 7digital, 24-7, Rumblefish, the Google Music Store, and Shazam.
