I think he's counting the number of times he's caught you meat gazin' when you're at the stall next to him, but I could be wrong...
BTW, I was talking to Matt from the Adolescents at the Love Me Nots show Friday night & I was telling him about the SG101 show & he said, "Big Tiki Dude? Big guy with the long hair & that beard thingy? Man, if I'm at a show & there's 4 people there, he's one of the four. He's ALWAYS one of the four!"
More off topic! Dude, I wore my Funny Car Aloha shirt(with my car and my name on it!) when I played with the Detonators at the museum today just for you!
And you didn't show! you little minx!
Dude! I had no idea you were playing! Aw hell.

Yeah man, JP will never forgive me.
Back to the topic, what are you going to do with your autographed SG101 poster & drum head?

I'm afraid I'm with Jeff and am tardy in posting more show reports. I still want to post some more, but you have to be in the right frame of mind and have the time to do so. This has eluded me so far.
But, please take a look at the photos that my wife Shari took at the San Diego show:

I'm sick as fuck and don't have the energy to write anything.
If I can get to it before Oasis I will do it.
if not, oh well, I need to get lots of rest and work evreyday. including thurs,
then Jam down to SD after work on thurs.
so the time for a review will have to wait.
plus its kinda lame for a guy who puts on a show, to do an in depeth review.
it will be more of a highlights, and thanks yous type of thing,
of the whole weekend.

oddly enough, as soon as I got back to NYC, I found myself sick as a dog from 'The Crud', as they say
antibiotics are trying to kick ass
hopefully by Thursday when I fly out to SAN DIEGO I will be well past this....
that's what I get for hugging the Big Tiki Dude, eh?

I hope y'all didn't get it from me. I tried like hell not to pass it on. I haven't washed my hands that much since I worked at the hospital.

i just want to add my $.03 about the duo-tones at don's sunday night. these guys are so talented and so humble and so kind and.........i'm at a loss for words. they did have a loving crowd watching them. they played a lot of their covers of standard surf tunes but what was an added bonus was they played instrumentals by some of the people that were their major influences........duane eddy as an example. it was a great ending to a fabulous weekend of surf music. as we all said our goodbyes it was like leaving summer camp knowing a lot of us won't get together until next year.
i do want to add that my 18 year old son that was with me said 'mom, that's sure a nice group of people you've gotten to know through surfguitar 101'.
my wish for next year is for more 'meet and greet' time as i realize i didn't get more of a hello out to some people.

Amen, Carol.
The Duo-Tones were perfect. I loved hearing them play the Duane Eddy and Fireballs stuff that influenced them to pick up the guitar.
