I'm currently listening to the audio book of Kid Congo Powers' memoir Some New Kind Of Kick. Great stories from the first wave of LA punk as well as his time with The Cramps and more. I've been listening to this Branko Mataja album a lot this week. It's surf adjacent with beautiful ringing echos. —"When I die, they'll say "He couldn't play shit, but he sure made it sound good."" |

Yesterday I asked Alexa to play songs by Tony Bennett....kept it going today. We are seeing the end of an era and he may be the final note. Some of you will understand what I'm saying. Thankful he passed our way and left the greatest gift of all..a lifetime of music. —Happy Sunsets! |
