"Reverberated for your pleasure" last month. Loving it.
Right before that I got the AquaVelvets "Guitar Noir". Pretty good.
—IMO.

Apparently while my back was turned Get Hip beefed up their instro selection! I'd been looking pretty hard and I believe they're the only US distributor for that awesome all-instrumental album The Routes just released Storm Surge of Reverb: Surf & Instro Radio Last edited: Apr 02, 2013 21:06:43 |

Grabbed this from the same $2.99 CD section that gave me the Fathoms' Overboard a few years ago. Didn't even know anything about it until I brought it home, just vaguely recognized the name. |

Oh, wow, Ted, really?? Are they unsold copies going back to 2000, or have you gotten new ones recently? I've lost touch with the guy behind the whole project, so I figured he's not distributing these CDs anymore, but maybe I'm wrong. —Ivan |

The thrift shop had just sold ALL the others in the series in a bulk-purge of over 5,000 LPs, but they didn't notice this one. Very playable. I'm glad I have it, but the rest would have been nice. Two dollars! They also had this. Also very playable and two dollars. I'm getting called from now on about stuff like this. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. Just picked up Calexico's Spark/The Ride 7" Finally! I've been searching for this 7" for a long time, and I haven't seen it sold for less than 60 or 70 bucks plus shipping. I picked this up for $30 including shipping! For those that don't know, this was one of the first Calexico releases. Spark is a very old school country kinda song with vocals, but The Ride (which is part 1, The Ride part 2 is an EXCELLENT track on their album The Black Light) is very surfy meets the old west tune that I absolutely love. Unfortunately I cant seem to find it on YouTube (only part 2 is there). I guess I might have to learn how to make one of them interweb vidya thingies myself. |
