Thanks guys! As for myself, I recently got the Thom Starr & The Galaxies anthology put out by Sundazed. Great stuff and highly recommended for any fans of the original surf music sound.
Also just ordered the new Rumblers collection recently released on Ace. Only a few overlaps with the earlier and now out of print Garland Records 23-tracks collection titled Boss. This new one promising to be just as boss as well! — |

Klas, I have 2 different red ones, and there is almost no overlap except for a few songs. I'm thinking the one you just got is a re-issue of one of them I have, thanks Jeff(bigtikidude) |

I only knew about the Boss collection which is indeed red. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000001DK/ The new Ace release is not a reissue of any earlier collection but could of course contain songs from the other red one you mentioned. |

when I first saw the 2nd red one I got, I thought it was the same as the first one, but it wasn't same picture, but different label, and different songs, Now I need to dig it out, and compare them. —Jeff(bigtikidude) |

I think there's three Rumblers releases with that same red cover - the original LP, the Surf label boot of the original, and then the DCC comp CD which has a lot of stuff not on the original album. —That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it. |

I think one of mine may be a Rhino or Sundazed release, I need to dig thru mountains of cds to find it. Jeff(bigtikidude) |

I just got Savage Iceland by Burt Rocket. I am digging this one a lot. I'm on my second listen in two days and liking it better and better with every song. —Ralph Be at one with the universe. If you can't do that, at least be at one with your guitar. |

My order from Double Crown came yesterday. Frankie & The Poolboys Been through each one once, so far. I almost included that Burt Rocket release with my order. I'll have to do that next time. —Mark There are no wrong notes, just some questionable choices. |

I went to a Vinyl sale a couple weeks back, there were about 60 vendors there. This show is here in Denver twice a year. I came home with these. There was alot of stuff I left behind due to lack of funds and there was no way I was going to drop 110 bucks on a "Surfin Bird" LP no matter how much I would like to have a Trashmen piece. This one made my day!!! The prices were all over the board on this one one guy had stuff sorted as "Surf Music". he had this at 100 bucks sure the cover was cleaner than the one I got but not 85$ worth. I now have one... There was a ton of Ventures stuff, but I didn't have this one yet. —"Maybe there aren't any surf bands; there's only surf music?" Tuck |

$110 for Surfin' Bird? Either that's extortionate or someone on this forum owes me $95. —That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it. |

Yea I think it was a little high even if the jacket was pristine, you could tell the vinyl had been played more than a few times unlike the 100$ "Lonely Surfer" LP it looked new as the day it was pressed! I don't think the guy even know's about SG101 most of his stuff was either the Fab Four or that dang long hair trippy hippy stuff... you know like the Turtles —"Maybe there aren't any surf bands; there's only surf music?" And quite the score on Sean's DoubleCrown Records black Friday sale (showed up already in yesterday's mail... whoot! whoot!) For a few Guitars More (had been kicking myself for not grabbing copy when Ferenc had 'em on hand several months ago... sweating that no more!) And alas, a few years worth of The Continental Mag back-issues (w/ CDs !!!). Must subscribe starting with #18 now! imageimageimageimage Lotsa' readin' & listenin' just in time for the upcoming holiday break!! —Fady El Mirage @ ReverbNation |

From the Double Crown Black Friday sale:
Great album! I first heard this at Niki & Lorenzo's place and new I had to have it.
One of my favourite bands. Great guitar tone.
Fun ep from the Japanese Kaisers. More fun on vinyl. Very cool pre-surf sounding instro, and ok vocal track (the vocals are not my cup of tea) Must have Xmas comp! Get all 3. Rev —Canadian Surf |

... and some vinyl:
Still waiting on the Thunderchiefs one to arrive, but I dig the Burt Rocket album - especially the first couple of songs. Most of the comp LP is on the Surf Guitars Rumble CD. It's hit or miss, but it's definitely worth it for the killer songs. —That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it. |
