Okay, Tikitena has suggested what a few have been thinking, run these questions up a flag pole and see who salutes.
These are just are few of the many questions being asked during the course of this thread, I'm sure there are many more, but you have to start sorting it out somewhere, this is as good as any.
At the moment the code on these post pages restricts the number of questions to 10 and allows no multiple choices as I'm sure a lot of people would like.
I'm hoping that Brian or someone who knows how to code up a query page or whatever they are called will pick this up and perhaps create a proper polling page with more questions and multiple choices.

I vote for:
Surf Instro Festival
Las Vegas
Small to medium
Inside and outside
..and in Halifax , but if BTD brings his pole, Vegas is fine!

I think Vegas would be a good idea. Anyone can get there for pretty cheap. I guess it would have to be indoor as well.

Surf Instro Ferstival @ Waikiki Beach near the Duke Kahanamoku statue on the Island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii. Those of you from Europe and the mainland U.S. can paddle over from Long Beach with paddleboards supplied by Jeff (BTD) who will lead the way. If your instruments get wet on the way over, you can use our stuff. We will supply a variety of Hawaiian shirts to wear (Zak gets first pick!) so all you need to bring is the shirt on your back, some shorts to surf in, and walk around in, and some slippahs err, slippers.
The TakeOffs will supply sun screen, surf wax and Finger Ease. Slap slap slap!!! (the sound of my wife slapping my head) "wake up you old fool...you're dreaming out loud...!!"
That would be pretty cool though.

You are classic Ron! I'm laughing my ass off! I can't wait to get over there and jam a few tunes with you guys!
I'm plannin' around August to make the trek.
Should I make life easy and just book a room at the Sheraton?
Cheers Big Daddy!

A poll is a great idea, but it'd be nice to be able to choose 2 or 3 of the options - it would give us a clearer idea of what everyone wants. My 3 choices would be:
Surf Instro Festival
Las Vegas
Small to medium
However, I am open to other ideas.

I second Sean's choices, and think that a combo of inside and outside would work well if possible.

because i'm a smart ass, i put brian's house. (sorry brian) but seriously i'd have to say small and let it grow. las vegas works for me because i can get there cheap and i can talk someone into being a traveling companion for a few days. my only problem is that june, july and august are out because we are too busy in our store.

Iim curious what kind of prices people are finding from their city to Las Vegas vs LAX... Ive checked prices from some of the major cities. I'm finding fares are within $10 to $20 and in some cases, the same....

Sample nonstop airfare from Newark:
To LAX $379
To LAS $414
It might be a little cheaper depending on departure & return dates.

For NAMM, I found it much cheaper to fly into Long Beach...$348 from Fort Lauderdale, nonstop.
