UNSTEADY FREDDIE

_This was really a spectacular show.
The line-up was incredible, all the bands were in top
form, Unsteady Freddie and Frank Wood make a great
team, and the audience was superb! I am usually not so
"touchy-feely" (not that there's anything wrong with
that), but I could really "feel the love" coming from
the group of people at Otto's that night. This was a
crowd who was there for the surf music - not the
drinks, or to get picked up, or any of the many other
reasons people go to clubs. This was a sophisticated
surf audience who are used to regular Otto's shows and
other surf music events on the east coast, and who
really appreciated the performances, and the variety.
During the Madeira set I looked around the club,
caught the eye of many people I know, and could see we
were all on the same "vibe" - it was a special event.
Thanks Unsteady & Frank, and all the other bands who
played, and the other bands who came to see the show
(Retroliners, El Muchacho, Venice Beach Muscle Club,
Sea Devils, Commercial Interruption - NESMA friends
Jim Lawlor and Blue Stingraye - sorry for anyone I
missed.)

Thanks everyone - for making east coast surf music
what it is today!
