It’s a one hour Surf and Guitar instrumental music radio show hosted by Mark Malibu, Canada’s original surf punk. There’s a little bit of talking and a lot of guitars. We’ll feature a balanced mix of old and new bands from around the world. Its a chance for me to share some of the weird and rare surf music I've collected over the years, some only available on vinyl, or weirder yet only cassette.
Canadian surf and instrumental music is my passion.... so ....Each show will take time to explore a trailblazing Canadian band from the past, many existing from the early days of rock’n roll like the Esquires, Wes Dakus and The Rebels or Les Jaguars. You'll be surprised how many of these musicians went on to be ROCK superstars... for example, Neil Young.
We’ll also talk to a current Surf band from around the globe about their own musical story. Its important to me that new bands get exposure beyond their home towns... GET AT ME, and I’ll get you on the show.
