Ivan,
Re the Brighton Bar venue in Long Branch, New Jersey.
Is it still on and does the show start at 7pm as stated on internet??

And -
If seafood is your thing, there is a really nice seafood eatery called Rooney's Oceanside Restaurant. It's about 2 miles north of the Brighton on Ocean Blvd. Nice, airy atmosphere and full view of the Atlantic Ocean. Waitresses are usually very easy on the eyes, also.
Hope to catch your set..
J Mo'

Noel, your wife IS amazing! That's fantastic! Really glad you'll be able to still make the Cincinnati show!

John, the NJ show is definitely still on, though I doubt it starts at 7 pm, but I just don't know. The show was organized by Vicent Minervino of the Black Flamingos, Hi-Tide Records and Asbury Park Surf Festival. We basically let him do what he does, and then find out what we need to do - usually the day of the show. If I had to guess, I'd say the doors open at 7 pm, the first band at 8 pm, us around 9-9:30 pm, and then the Coffin Daggers around 11 pm. That's my guess. Stay tuned for the details as we geet closer! (And thanks for the recommendation for the restaurant, though it seems unlikely I will remember it a month from now! I'll try, but maybe you can bring it up again a day or two beforehand - we'd appreciate it!)

Thanks, all!

2009? Y'know, I totally blame The Tomorrow Men. Ever since they appeared on the scene, their subsequent forward-into-the-past excursions have messed up the time stream a little bit. The debut performance of the Blair-Pongracic Band was actually at the Surfer Joe Summer Festival in 2015. You guys in The Tomorrow Men may need to have your flux capacitor serviced.

+1 on the Charlotte flyer and great to see another one of Crispy's creations for the Carrboro show! The flyer is super-appropriate given that Sunday is Father's Day. Smile Really looking forward to an afternoon of surf music and catching up with friends.

All you carefree groupies out there finish up the PM on your vehicles & get ready to hit the road with these gents. This should also be an especially fun time for all the other bands on the bill.
Safe journeys all!
Thumbs Up

I can't even believe our East Coast tour starts in just two days! Wow! Here's a video of me practicing a bit ago - I think I'm ready! You may - or may not - hear this laid-back ditty by the Madeira as part of our set... Come and find out for yourselves. Big Grin

BTW, I haven't seen any mention of this on SG101, but John was featured last week in a Facebook video by the Vintage Guitar magazine, playing Dark Eyes on his '59 Strat!! Go here: https://www.facebook.com/VintageGuitarmagazine/videos/vb.62475490923/10154584758810924/?type=2&theater

Here's what the text with the video says: "John Blair offers his take on a Russian folk tune called "Dark Eyes" (or "Black Eyes”). His '63 Stratocaster is running into a '65 Super Reverb and a '61 Fender Reverb Unit. "There's just a hint of delay with a Strymon El Capistan pedal," he said. Be sure to read our review of his books, "The Illustrated Discography of Hot Rod Music 1961-1965" and "The Illustrated Discography of Surf Music 1961-1965” in the July issue of Vintage Guitar magazine. I can literally hear the rest of the band behind you!
I think you might be ready. Laughing

Great to see John getting the recognition as well, thanks for that post.
Knock 'em dead man! (that's rhetorical, of course)

Since I'm at work I can't double check (internet overlord protocol) but I thought I saw on FB that the Cleveland show was at The Happy Dog on Euclid. The Happy Dog site lists it on Detroit Rd.

As a person who is directionally challenged I'm sure this is just my imagination but I thought I'd better mention it. It's the only way to quiet The Voices.

Hey Don, the site has problems with .tiff files. So if you can convert it to .png or .jpg it should be fine.
