Ah, so sorry to hear about Pete. I was looking forward to seeing the Halibuts for the first time. Hopefully next year!
Jonpaul always does a great job with the flyers.

Great job on the flyer, Jonpaul! So glad you used a picture of my next guitar.
I'm already beside myself with excitement and am going to have a difficult time waiting until August. I'm having some serious first world problems with deciding which pre-convention show to attend.

Thanks guys! It really is my pleasure to be able to do whatever I can to help our underappreciated, overlooked, unfairly-dismissed-by-the-majority-of-the-world and disrespected genre!
Jeff Senn deserves the publicity, as he is not only generous and thoughtful, but smart, extrmely talented and supportive!
Just wait until you guys see all of the desirable stuff we have to auction off this year! It's going to be the most we've ever had, and the odds of attendees winning at least something will be better than ever!
I would just like to personally and sincerely thank the following companies for so generously helping our cause with sponsorship:
Jeff Senn/Eastwood
Fender
Quilter
D'Addario
Vintage Guitar Magazine
The Surf King Surfwear
Nocturne
Double Crown Records
Reverb Junkies
Green Cookie Records
Dionysus Records
MuSick Recordings
Soest Guitar
Deep Eddy Records
Kustom Deluxe Printing
Reverberations Media
Please go the extra distance to support these companies, because they support the convention!

If one particular Surf Guitar 101 Convention had to be my first, I am extremely happy it's this one. California, here I come!

Also, a speedy and thorough recovery for Pete*, hoping it's not the full "26 Miles" long. Go Halibuts!

Thank you so much Jonpaul, those are some very kind words indeed.
The flyer looks wonderful, great job and look at our guitar in the middle of it all! Wow!
It means so much to me to be a small part of this genre and group of people, musicians.
Many thanks to you and Jeff Hanson and Tiki Tina and folks like Crispy and Lorenzo and Chad Shivers for all of the time, effort and true passion you put into not only giving bands like ours a place to play and share our music but also in keeping the flame of this genre burning.
Mucho respect!
In regards to our guitar on the flyer - I think Jeff has an announcement to make about why it's on there but out of respect I feel it's his place to make the announcement when he wants.
Man, this is some exciting stuff!
Cheers,
Jeff

Also, in reading the rest of this thread I'd be remiss to say that I'm so sorry and disappointed to hear about Pete and wish him a full recovery.
Cheers,
Jeff

So sorry to hear about Pete Curry's injury. I was looking forward to seeing the Halibuts for the 2nd time, 20 years after the first time (at the Don Murray tribute). Speedy recovery, Pete!

Add to the pre-convention weekend in NorCal:
https://www.facebook.com/events/820304851433227/
Special thanks to the Elbo Room in SF, they've hosted pre-convention shows in the past (I'm thinking Maderia).
In case the link doesn't work, it's Messer Chups and Gillbillies, August 8. 2016 (Monday, day after the Ritz show in San Jose). Doors 8pm, show 9pm. Cover $5.
