Can someone ask Bradipos IV please, which song at KFJC they played when the bass string said goodbye?
Thanks.

Twang cheers!

Good to see the tradition of mixing up the Surfaris with the Original Surfaris continues.

Aloha:
I'm sure Guy Moore and John Koontz has something to share. Sorry I did not do all the bands but "life gets tedious" and I was engrossed in being a witness more than being an archiver (this time)

I saw/heard KELP and liked them quite a lot.

High point of the evening for Beth and I, besides meeting old and new friends and hearing one fantastic group after another ,was the we WON A GUITAR ! WOOW thank you Fender for being a cool sponsor and many kudos and thanks to all the players, organizers and volunteers and especially to the seemingly tireless BIG TIKI DUDE Jeff Hanson for orchestrating a very enjoyable and successful SURF GUITAR 101 CONVENTION number 9, number 9, number nine, number 9...sunshine on the pier tomorrow at Huntington Beach.

She's prettier in person than in the photo.
Beth and I have decided that we will bring it to the jam tomorrow in order to lend to some jammer that did not get to bring a guitar. Guess I have to get a strap for it. -- or bring some string...

Well, it sure seems that SG101 9th edition was another home run. Congrats on winning the guitar!

Ugh, I'm dead, who's idea was it to make it 12 hours?
And now 4 hours sleep, and going to the pier, oooooof

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Jeff, you're not dead yet. Wait till the end of all the after shows. LOL
I fully expect today to be so memorable for everyone that the smile won't go away for weeks. Smile

Great show, I was wondering if anyone could help me with the legends part of the show. I know Paul Johnson, and Randy Holden. But I can't remember the name and group of the man who played the drums, was he on pipeline. The man playing the piano/organ, he was in the original ?? group, and man can he still play, amazing. And another man that played guitar, was he on or wrote pipeline.
Yes it was a long day, I went home after Messer Chups, couldn't stay awake much longer. But super job and great new venue.

Big Kudos to Jeff and everyone for organizing this every year! From the fb reports it looked and sounded like a roaring success. Keep the pics and videos coming!

Long day but staying to the end did not disappoint! The power of really good music to erase any feelings of fatigue was quite evident. Great sets by everyone but Space Cossacks and Phantom Four will be 2 sets I will always keep in my heart. Guitar
