I think we should actually talk about the equipments functionality here too. Like the one stop-shop thread for anything Gomez related.

Good idea! I like the settings 5-5-5 or 5-6-5.

My favourite! (masterpiece) Cool

Experience is only with this one (and playing through several RI's). I find 5 4-1/2 5 to be completely workable. Maybe turn the mix down to 3 if it's more an echo-emphasis thing. I know already that it will depend on what guitar is in hand, and what I'm after. (There is not just one sweet-spot.)

What I'm most impressed with so far is the absolute control and true USABLE range of the controls. On so many tanks anything above 5 or 6 with any mix in at all is basically unusable. This thing is an instrument. A side benefit noted is that it treats other effects/signal so good as they pass by on the way to the amp - that's the other big plus for me. Reflects, imho, on the build quality & components used.

I have to say, my Tahitian Reverb sounds amazing with its own reverb. The G-Spring gives the amp some different texture. Its really hard for my ears to judge what is "better".

I brought the G-Spring and my Jag to Sam Ash and cranked it through a Twin Reverb with 15" speaker. Heads were turning as people passed me Cool I'd say most people never heard anything like that tone in person. The salesmen and customers were all asking me questions and wanting to know more about my sound. Pretty cool.

The G-Spring is the best, I assure you. And this is a G-Spring, I bought a chassis I put in my RI cabinet that my bandmates had Dave W sign.

^^ would love to hear a G-Spring through a Super Reverb. I bet you get a sweet breakup sound with that.

Jake, that first pic is a great portrait. And the tank is like having a sleeper Nova that'll smoke a big block. That's a serious heft & go trio right there with nothing else.

I'm just still amazed how much better anything else in the chain before the tank sounds, even if the Gomez is off; it's so clean & quiet going through.

I asked Dario to build a "G" Reverb amp head for me and it arrived today. Took me a while to unpack it as these babies are packed in the box really well. Once I got all the packing stuff out and did a visual check of the amp head. I can easily see the incredible workmanship Dario puts into building this as this baby is a true beauty.

Well now it's time to see what this baby can do. I set up the "G" Reverb with a cab, plug it in turn it on and start playing some random tunes. All I can say is WOW how sweet this baby sounds! I tried a Strat, Jazzmaster and a Yamaha SGV300 and all 3 sounded incredible. Will take some pics when I get the matching cab I ordered for it. Can't wait to do some recording with this amp.

Cool Stan. I didn't know Dario made G-Reverbs just as a head. Post a pic please.

I contacted Dario last month and asked if he could build me a "G" Reverb Head and he said yes. Dario can build whatever you want just contact him if he can do it go for it you won't be disappointed. In any case took this quick pic of the amp head today will take a better 1 when I get the 2X12 matching cab.

Dude... Donald of Aloha Screwdriver played my rig last night. He sounds incredible, hell of a player. Beautiful breakup.

I don't usually get it to a point where it breaks up too much. This is a very very loud amp. It isn't sterile and clean, but it isn't dirty. On a couple songs I roll the volume up and it does have a bit more gain, but I normally live just under there(otherwise I am too loud for the rest of the band).

And Stan, that is really cool!

Oh! I have a Carolina Blue/Gold G-Spring coming! I am getting the last chassis/cab. Very excited. With the 'Verb ramping up my reverb unit will be out of the house too often for my taste. Time to get another.

AWESOME!!! Big Grin

And that sound you get out of your Super is one of those things people keep trying to find words for.

Now if someone in the EU would just take that last 230V off Dario's hands...

I'm still looking for the perfect cab within Europe for my Tahitian (4 ohm) and am open to suggestions!

I also have a G-Spring which is amazing. I'd say though that the onboard reverb on the Tahitian is VERY good. Put it on 3,5-4,5 and you're getting close to a G-Spring'ish sound. Above that it starts to go into a wild and cavernous reverb.
