And the activities will be great, but often the best part of Surfer Joe is sitting around in the sunshine with a beer and the chance to meet and chat to some nice people.

It's a friendly festival and the Livorno people are super friendly. Just chat to the person you're next to and see who they are...
If I do that, I'll probably end up chatting to you again!
And missing out on other people who crossed the Atlantic  A get-together would be awesome!

Update from Lorenzo, he wanted me to post for you all.
At the 2015 surfer joe festival there will be a REVERB meeting(seminar).
Bijorn (surfy bear) together with Chris(Los VENTURAS) will showcase the surfy bear and other reverb pedals (all we can find). plus there will be different reverb tanks for testing and comparisons and a guitar and amp to try them all on.
Moreover in REALTIME there will be a big computer screen or projector with a live thread about this reverb seminar where people from sg101 forum will be able to comment and send inquiries in REALTIME to the seminar.

Like last year's discussion of the number of screws in strat pickguards of different vintages, this will be interesting to some weird people (and I include myself amongst those) and will send normal people to the bar. Fortunately the bar is good!

This absolutely Kicks Ass  ....I enjoyed all seminars last year and can only imagine the rest of the stuff Lorenzo is preparing for this year considering all the bands that will be there.
I am arriving on 17th or 18th not sure yet....AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA can't wait

I am very happy to confirm that I will be attending this year's festival. I am absolutely overwhelmed by the stellar line up, and this event is "simply not to be missed", an overused phrase for sure, but really, when has there been a lineup like this one since the Rendezvous Ballroom days???
As in the past, I'm going to write as much as I can about the show, but I'm curious if people would prefer to follow my Twitter, read blog posts here on SG101, or read daily updates on my usual bloodspot blog? I don't think "all three" is an option...
I am so looking forward to meeting you all there, seeing old friends and making new ones!

Since I'm a photographer in my 'other' life, I'm gonna try to keep a photo-blog during the festival. Of course it all depends on wifi and more important, time to process the photo's. Gonna try to post some pics on SG101 too

First time I went to Surfer Joe I planned to write about and take loads of photos. In the end the bands were too good not to dance too, people too friendly not to talk to and the whole thing too big to try to capture with a camera. So I danced, drank and had a great time!
I expect I'll be doing the same thing this year as well.

Guys just a reminder. If you are planning to come to Livorno for the fest (and at this time I assume you have decided...) do not waste time in booking your accommodation. If you look for the cheaper options you can search on airbnb.com and of course booking.com has probably the best deals on hotels.
In a few days the list of activities during the afternoons will be available and online. Also the official poster of the event and eventually news regarding the merchandise.
