Great idea, both the photo's and the name tags.
Or maybe we can do a SG101 meet & greet at a specific time and translate that to the radio by doing short interviews with all members present?

Anyway, this is me on the left with Dave from Slacktone and Bart from Fifty Foot Combo last year at Surfer Joe.

And in The Phantom Four at our latest photoshoot for a newspaper.

If we had free space in the van we would pick you in Vienna Wolfy. But that means you would be forced to hear the same set every evening for an entire week...

By the way, we're really excited to be part of this amaaaaaazing line-up !

And our album will be realeased just in time for the festival but, shhhh Wink

So I see lots of you are going, even the folks located in the US! Great, I am really excited to meet you all in person. But I have a constant fear that I will not recognize all of you and that would be a real shame. There are some people I will recognize, though we have never met (Ivan, Jeff, Ralf). How about SG101 name tags, so we can identify each other? Maybe it's just a stupid idea...But I really think it would be a shame to meet you guys in Livorno without being aware who you are, not talking to you, just to find out a couple of months later that we've been standing next to each other for an hour or so.

Maybe we could use these buttons for recognition

Good idea,
We've had the name stickers at SG101 before.
Most people don't want to do that.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Yeah, that's much better...

It's finally happening for me! Tickets are bought and I am really looking forward to experience this whole festival with all the amazing bands, some of which I would probably never see if it were not for this opportunity! Smile

I really like Niels' idea of a SG101 get-together for getting to know the other folks and have a little chat. Somebody who knows the location and timetables a little better than me should call out a time and place for that.

This is going to be so much fun! Smile

Los Apollos - cinematic surf music trio (Berlin)
"Postcards from the Scrapyard" Vol. 1, 2 & 3 NOW available on various platforms!
"Chaos at the Lobster Lounge" available as LP and download on Surf Cookie Records!

Well Simon, time and place can only be the Surfer Joe's Smile where else?
Please remember on Saturday and Sunday lunch time there will already be a sort of get-together for the tiki-brunch.

By the end of February we will publish the list of activities for the afternoon, seminars, events and more.

The Tiki Garden on Saturday afternoon is generally a good place to hangout.

I won't be wearing name tag, by the way. that's really not very me.

hmmm... no name tag for me neither.

Maybe we need an app like Grindr Big Grin and instead of 'shagable person' alerts something like 'warning SG101 member near you'...

Tiki Garden on Saturday afternoon sounds like a good idea (if there isn't a great band playing or something like that).

I say that again: on Saturday afternoon the activities will be in the tiki room, probably not in the garden Smile

The program that you have seen of the SJSF2015 is just the beginning... so I rather suggest to arrange the meeting at 2pm in the Tiki Room.
It will be announce... don't worry...

I hope to meet you all and spend some time together!

And the activities will be great, but often the best part of Surfer Joe is sitting around in the sunshine with a beer and the chance to meet and chat to some nice people.

It's a friendly festival and the Livorno people are super friendly. Just chat to the person you're next to and see who they are...
